Your Role
Join Atlas Copco Comptec LLC as a Mechanical Systems Designer where you will complete customer and manufacturing drawings for our engineered-to-order centrifugal compressors. You will also ensure contract specifications are met and use Atlas Copco approved standards. As part of the systems engineering team, you will report to the engineering team leader and work with the systems engineers on your team. This is a hybrid role based at our Voorheesville, NY facility, requiring on-site presence three days per week. In-office attendance is mandatory on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with the flexibility to work remotely up to two days per week.
You will use Autodesk Inventor and Solidworks for creating 3D CAD models of compressor packages and manufacturing drawings.
You will create the Bills of Material on drawings in the ERP system.
You will document the design process for future job process-related training.
You will provide purchase specifications for components used in compressor package designs such as valves, filters, fittings, gaskets, and hardware.
You will contribute new design concepts.
You will provide basic piping fluid flow and pressure rating calculations in compressor designs to ensure specifications are met.
You will use available tools and create new tools for daily engineering tasks.
You will review the project design and check all procedures are followed before releasing projects to manufacturing.
You will maintain the schedules of all assigned projects.
You will design in a cost-conscious manner, considering the project budget.
To succeed, you will need
You have completed high school with an apprenticeship in mechanical design or hold an Associate's degree in the field. Relevant work experience can be considered in place of a formal degree.
You have experience with CAD design that includes materials, math, tolerancing, dynamics, and systems design.

At Chesterton, we have a laser focus on our customers. The Mechanical Assembler I - 1st Shift (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM) is an entry level position and is responsible for the assembly of simple mechanical seals. Perform a variety of repetitive operations to assemble mechanical seals, products and sub-assemblies. Uses a variety of common hand tools and simple machines. Stores and retrieves materials as required. Must be able to work overtime as required, maintain a positive and focuses attitude, and be willing to support all of the team's goals and objectives.
Job Model: On-Site
All fully remote positions will require you to travel on site 2-4 times per month depending upon business needs at your own expense.
Hybrid positions will require employees to work both on-site and remote each week under a schedule that has been determined and agreed upon by you and your manager.
On-Site positions will require employees to work on-site for each of their scheduled shifts.
A typical day at work would include:
Performs a variety of repetitive tasks using simple hand tools, i.e., allen wrench, dental picks, etc. to assemble a seal.
May operate engraving and/or etching machine as required.
Performs simple in process quality control inspection to validate fit and function, i.e. evaluates if the seal fits together.
Validates accuracy of components to shop order by part number and/or simple inspection criteria, i.e., o-ring inspection cone, inside diameter inspection via test shafts at the final assembly stage, inspects for thread hang-up, burrs, dirt and oil residue during assembly.
Identifies all questionable components and isolates them for quality control rework as required.
Identifies and selects appropriate packaging for each assembled seal in accordance with the shop order.
Consults shop order and transcribes (hand-writes) date, lot number, and other designated information onto the packaging label.
Maintains clean and organized work area in accordance to 5S policies and procedures.
This specific role/function is subject to our On-Call Policy and may be required to remain available during off- schedule hours to support the business needs.

Entry level. Experience in a manufacturing environment a plus.
Must become certified in assembling the level 1 seals and activities.
Ability to work according to written/verbal instructions and procedures which will ensure safety on the job and efficient, effective assembly process.

The Senior Treasury Analyst plays a critical role in managing the organization's global cash flow, debt, and investment activities. This position supports strategic financial planning, ensures liquidity, and contributes to risk management and compliance efforts. Our Opening and Your Responsibilities Reporting to the Head of Engineering, Hardware, this position will be responsible for leading embedded software development and integration with electronics projects for a series of analytical instruments and devices. Based on various embedded frameworks, software libraries, and specifically tailored development tools, the position will lead all development phases of embedded engineering from architectural design implementation and testing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Independently designing software/firmware architectures based on an internal model framework and development processes.
* Collaborating with R&D team members to design, develop, and test electronic, electro-mechanical, and optoelectronic components, subsystems (including systems on chip/module), and systems for integration into new scientific and legacy products.
* Providing software interfaces to connect device drivers, PC software, and peripherals to instruments. Integrating software libraries and drivers provided by external partners and team members. Collaborating with the R&D team to set the firmware/API requirements for the external partners.
* Generating embedded software code and conducting internal design reviews for performance, testability, manufacturability, and serviceability.

What You Need to Succeed
* Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Seven (7) years of software development experience as an embedded software architect and system level firmware designer and developer.
* Detailed knowledge of microprocessors and embedded computing systems and associate subsystems, as well as software development lifecycle process and various SDLC models.
* Excellent C, C++, skills using the GNU tool chain and/or MS Visual Studio/VS Code; experience with off target embedded development using cross compiling tool chains/ MATLAB and/or C# experience is a plus.
* Extensive knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems, various software configuration management tools, and best practices as they related to SCM disciplines. Driver development experience is a plus.
* Experience designing, developing, testing, and deploying service applications that expose APIs enabling client interactions; especially request/response (REQ/RSP) and publish/subscribe (PUB/SUB) models.
* Microcontroller experience and experience with highly constrained computing platforms is required. Microchip MPLABX-IDE and/or other embedded platform development tool chains is a plus.
* Experience with embedded operating systems and knowledge of embedded operating system operational modes. Embedded Linux, FreeRTOS, VxWorks, or other real time operating systems and development experience is a plus.
* Hands-on experience with electronics, including testing, validating, and troubleshooting of assembled circuit boards using digital voltmeter, oscilloscope, and other hardware/software analysis tools.
