    Job Description LOADER General Description/Purpose: The Loader will provide a high level of service to ensure employee, customer, team member, and vendor satisfaction. The Loader does this by loading Stickley product on delivery trucks to be delivered to Stickley retail customers and the Stickley Dealer network. The Loader completes these functions in the support of the Distribution of Stickley Furniture. Job Responsibilities: Loads product on trucks and trailers securely to minimize product damages, maximize vehicle capacity, and maintain stop sequence Utilizes blanket wraps, decking materials, nylon strapping, and rubber bands to protect and secure loads as needed Assists with order picking and working at various heights Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work environment Responsible for working independently and as a team member Communicates with drivers and supervisors when product is loaded out of sequence based on delivery stops and ensures that these are easily identified for the driver Works with inventory and inspection teams throughout the loading process to ensure that inventory accuracy goals are achieved and quality standards are upheld As needed will assist and require assistance from others loaders to handle and load oversized and/or bulky products Scans products during the loading process to ensure that inventory tracking occurs and that accurately recorded Reviews the shipping packet and ensures all documentation is included Responsible for accurately, reviewing, interpreting, and as required notating manifests and bills of lading Essential Knowledge, Skills: Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts such as adding, counting, subtracting, multiplying, dividing and knowledge of weights and measure, utilize measuring tools such as tape measures and other measuring devices to sufficiently handle job tasks Understand and respond appropriately to basic customer and employee inquiries Read, write and communicate using English language sufficient to perform job functions (Other preferences will be given for special language skills when there is a business need) Ability to operate facility equipment as required in assigned area (including but not limited to LRT, telephone, hand tools, computers, copiers, fax machines, forklifts, pallet jacks, electric lifts, etc.) Satisfactorily complete all Stickley training requirements (including but not limited to departmental training, annual Hazardous Material and environmental training, Forklift Certification, etc.) Ability to interpret company documents and literature and UPC information Work Schedule: First Shift; 6:00am - 2:30pm M-F Hourly: Generally scheduled for 40 hours a week; more hours may be required based on the needs of the business Benefits: We offer a competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefit package that includes: Paid vacation, holidays, health, prescription and dental insurances Company paid life insurance 401(k) retirement plan, Flexible spending account Generous employee discount The compensation range provided in this job posting is a general guideline.
