The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator is responsible for preparing customer shipments, receiving incoming parts and supplies, restocking Kanban bins, using creativity and initiative to meet aggressive deadlines and improve processes. Essential Functions Pull ordered machines and parts from inventory and prepare them for shipment Crate, band, wrap, box or otherwise package machines or parts for shipment Schedule freight trucks for machine shipments Work with FedEx, UPS, and freight carriers to meet shipping requirements Prepare paperwork for domestic and international shipments Load machine shipments onto trucks using industrial equipment Enter shipment, receiving and other data into the ERP system Accept, open and verify incoming shipments from carriers such as UPS Stocks incoming parts in the appropriate location Assembles and makes crates for shipping Alert Lead Shipping & Receiving Coordinator to low packaging and shipping supply levels for ordering Operate forklift and other industrial lift equipment Continuously improves processes and practices in Shipping and Receiving Requirements: Education: high school diploma or equivalent Ability to learn domestic and International shipping procedures and paperwork in a relatively short time. Able to work overtime as needed as well as being flexible over a wide range of tasks. Must be self-motivated and thrive on a fast paced environment. Must have strong attention to detail. Oral and written communication skills Basic to intermediate computer skills Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION: The Stores Clerk is responsible for parts distribution, parts put away, cycle counting, housekeeping and accepting deliveries after receiving hours. Accepting deliveries after receiving hours includes checking for quality and specifications, inspecting for damage and unloading product which includes chemical/bulk tank deliveries. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: * Issues spare parts for all plant and administrative personnel using NAS eight digit coding system. * Assists in the delivery of parts when necessary. * Processes part put away by placing all inbound stock and non-stock receipts that have been processed in their designated storage areas. * Counts designated inventory on a monthly basis. * Maintains proper housekeeping of all storage areas always keeping a clean and safe work environment. * Performs random stock checks and notifies Turn Lead of impending stock outs on all items. 7. Completes out of stock form for stock items requested with no available inventory to fulfill request. Completed form is to be turned in to the Stores Coordinator. * Receives all trucks when the Receiving Department is not present, inspecting shipments for quality, damage and specifications. Places material in designated storage area and communicates delivery with receiving personnel. This includes chemical deliveries. * All Stores Clerks will be trained and/or certified on operating all the power industrial lift trucks and all other equipment used in the Central and LP Stores areas. Completing forklift checklist as defined in work instructions.
