**About the Role**
+ Merchandisers are responsible for stocking and displaying our products on shelves/coolers at large accounts within a set territory.
+ They will report directly to their assigned stores for their scheduled shifts and may be required to cover routes as assigned.
+ Merchandisers are required to use their personal vehicle to travel among stores in their territory; however, they are not responsible for transporting our products. Our products will be delivered in advance to the stores.
+ A company-issued phone will be provided with a programed app to clock in and out for scheduled shifts and to track mileage for reimbursement.

Your Day at Lowe's
As a Receiver/Stocker, you keep our stores clean and presentable to improve customers' overall shopping experience. You ensure our merchandise is accurately received and replenished by safely unloading merchandise from incoming freight, moving it to the sales floor, and stocking shelves.

Essential Job Functions:
· Grocery Clerk helps customers discover new items or products they inquire about.
· Grocery Clerk informs customers of food specials and recommends grocery items to customers to ensure they get the products they want and need.
· Check product quality to ensure freshness. Review "sell by" dates and take appropriate action.
· Grocery Clerk provides customers with fresh and non-perishable grocery products that they have ordered.
· Recommend grocery items to customers to ensure they get the products they want and need.

· Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
· Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
· Stay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads.
· Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
· Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers are maintained and temperature logs are maintained.
· Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold within the department and be able to respond to questions and make suggestions about products.
· Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important and appreciated by answering questions regarding products sold within the department and throughout the store.
· Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identify unsafe conditions and notify store management.
· Practice preventive maintenance by properly inspecting equipment and notify appropriate department or store manager of any items in need of repair.
· Notify management of customer or employee accidents.
· Ability to work cooperatively in high paced and sometimes stressful environment.
· Ability to manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational and cooperative manner.
· Ability to act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
· Ability to follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve customer and business issues.
· Provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
