Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs. • Complete monthly, weekly, and daily lists of inventory cycle counts • Assist all departments in the locating of requested items(WH Manager approval) • Assist in any total physical inventory process • Be proficient in the use of the ROSS ERP system and any devices used in conjunction with the system • Conduct cycle counts in offices and warehouses. • Exchange/return expired products. • Lead inventory initiatives, process improvement, and streamline inventory processes. • Utilize reports to monitor proper inventory levels and adjust accordingly. • Assist in training of inventory specialists on ROSS ERP and hand scanners • Monitor ROSS for errors • Monitor all expired products. • Typical duties will include, but will not be limited to: directing and advising the daily activities of a team of inventory associates. • Ensuring that new and experienced employees perform duties with a high degree of safety, service and quality. • Provide proper training and development for inventory associates. • Ensure workflow for the facility meets performance expectations and that all raw materials are available for production. • Provide basic feedback to the team on performance. Know when to escalate issues to your manager for assistance. Training, Education & Experience: • Training for the position of Inventory Specialist will consist of the same training that new hires receive, i.e., HACCP, Retort, Food Science, Safety, Food Safety, and Pest Control • Preferred education for this position is a 2-year degree (preferred), but will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis situation and some education with experience may be in lieu of. • Experience in Warehouse, Inventory management, production, and/or food-beverage environment is preferred.
