Maintains high accuracy level in check-off procedures. · Reads work orders to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed. Loads trucks. · Uses computer to assist with locating types of tires by manufacturer; transfers inventory to stores; closes out transfer requests and bills the appropriate location. · Assists with slow-moving, obsolete inventory items and reports observations to supervisor. · Assists with requests received from store personnel or outside customers, researches problem if necessary and responds in a timely fashion. · Maintains a clean, neat and orderly warehouse environment with inventory stored in its proper place. Helps with maintaining over-stocked areas. · May operate forklift and other vehicles, if necessary. · Completes all required training. · All other duties as assigned to support the business. Summary This job is responsible for operating material handling equipment in a safe manner for the purpose of moving, locating, stacking and counting merchandise. Key Responsibilities * Executes the movement of cased product and totes to and from Packaging. * Accurately monitors daily shipping activities and properly prepares trucks and railcars for shipment. * Ensures the movement of railcars in a safe and efficient manner using the track mobile. * Conducts cycle counts, reconciles inventory and audits data. * Operates a forklift and conducts daily inspections of forklift equipment. * Utilizes computer and computer programs, including DCS (Data Collection System) to communicate, document, track shift information and create spreadsheets. Ensures that all documents and reports are completed accurately in a timely and efficient manner. * Ensures self-compliance with Company policies and plant procedures, and the Collective Bargaining Agreement. * May assist with training other plant personnel. * Maintains Company standards for safety, quality, food safety, sanitation and GMPs. * Works within safety rules and regulations in actively avoiding injury to self and others. * Ensures proper food safety sanitation and cleaning procedures of all processing equipment and tools. * Maintains necessary level of communication with team members and other support groups and does so in a participative management style conducive with operational goals. * Ensures that additional accountabilities required by management are handled in a manner necessary to meet operational standards. Qualifications * High school diploma or GED is required. * One year of forklift operating experience is required. * Push-pull forklift experience needed.
