* Assures appropriate procedures are followed within MMIS/Par Excel to maintain integrity of the inventory system to eliminate stock-outs in warehouse and nursing units.

* Receives incoming materials supplies and equipment and compares information on packing slip with purchase order to verify accuracy of shipment against purchase order. Inspects shipments for damages or defects records discrepancies or damages in shipment and notifies supervisor or purchasing personnel.
* Receives requests for supplies selects stock from inventory loads distribution vehicles and distributes supplies and special instruments to requisitioning departments. Obtains authorization for accepted items.
* Removes outdated sterile or other unused supplies and returns them to central supply for reprocessing or to general stores for disposition.
* Uncrates and assembles equipment and ensures that patient care equipment has been properly labeled and inspected. Marks inventory articles with identification codes as needed.
