Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Maintains full stock conditions on frozen food and dairy display racks and shelves. * Operates pallet jack to unload product from warehouse trucks and reloads trucks with return items (18yrs +). * Ensures dated product is stocked, rotated, or discarded properly if unsold. * Inspects product for quality and maintains quality control and food safety standards. * Collects empty cardboard boxes and other trash and places into bailer (partners 18yrs. +). * Assists fellow partners and customers by responding to price check questions and exchanging and/or locating product. * Promotes product sales through use of suggestive selling initiatives. * Provides friendly and customer service-oriented attitude by greeting customers, answering questions, and responding to customer complaints. * Maintains clean, safe and sanitary working and shopping environment by adhering to Company safety procedures. Complies with all Company policies and procedures. * Takes precautionary safety measures when using equipment and work tools. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities * Ability to operate manual or electric pallet jack (partners 18yrs. +). * Ability to safely operate and maintain department equipment. * Ability to handle objects gently to avoid damage to items, people, vehicles, and property. * Ability to safely work with sharp objects such as knives, box cutters, etc. * Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment. * Ability to work well with fellow partners and promote a team environment. * Ability to learn new technology systems, methods and processes. * Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays. Education, Experience, and Qualifications * Minimum of 16 years of age required. * Minimum of 18 years of age required to operate equipment. * Food Handler certification required. * Typically involves on-the-job training. Coordinates incoming and outgoing movement and storage of raw materials, finished products and parts that include functions such as warehousing, shop and delivery services to ensure material availability and delivery when needed to meet production schedules | Compiles data on order volume, production schedules and forecasts and applies statistical methods to estimate future materials requirements Major Position Responsibilities Performs manual and clerical duties related to shipping, receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing and delivering a variety of materials, equipment and supplies. Counts, weighs or measures incoming or outgoing items to compare identifying information and variety against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other records. Examines incoming shipments for damage or shortages and corresponds with shipper to rectify. Completes paperwork or forms required for documentation. Determines method of shipment utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes and rates. Prepares materials for shipping by weighing, packaging and stamping. Prepares necessary shipping forms such as bills of lading. Operates material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies to move stock or reorganize storage. Basic Qualifications Required Education: High School Diploma/GED Preferred Education: Vocational/Technical Training Degree Additional Certifications: Posses a Valid Driver's License and ability to maintain a company issued Forklift Operator License Years and Area of Experience (required for the role): 0-3 years prior experience in a similar position. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Oral and written communication skills. Ability to understand and follow directions. Clerical skills. Ability to lift/move heavy objects. Physical stamina.
