Coordinate and schedule all "tool crib" stored tools requiring periodic with the using manufacturing departments supervision, floor expeditor and tooling department before tool date due. Priority given to the past due tools. Maintain all tool transactions, receiving, departing, and inventories in the Protocol system on a daily basis. Visually checks all returned tools and equipment to ensure that tools are in good condition. If necessary, forwards tools not suitable for reissue to appropriate area for corrective action. Applies preservatives such a stripcote, cosmoline, hot oils and similar materials to tools and equipment as required. Maintains computerized data base indicating status, tool usage and tool consumption and reorders tools as required. Checks out all terminated or transferred employees to make certain that all contract and standard charges are cleared.
