As a Forklift Operator, you'll get to move pallets and other materials through the different areas of the warehouse, supporting production requirements in those areas, as well as loading and unloading customer trailers. "A Day in the Life”
As a Material Handler you will load and unload material within a warehouse or storage facility. Utilize hand trucks, forklifts, or other handling equipment to move material to and from trucks and within or to the main storage facility. Receive, unpack, check, and store merchandise or materials. Fulfill requisitions and orders for the production team.
"What You'll Do"
Maintain and execute materials management programs as designed within the warehouse
Document and maintain inventory and ensure production area organization and cleanliness
Assist with team projects as needed
Keep the warehouse area organized and clean. Take out trash and transport cardboard boxes to cardboard compactor for recycling
May be required to operate a forklift to receive shipments or materials or equipment, stack and retrieve supplies and materials
Have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a warehouse
Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
Perform other duties as assigned
"Must Haves"
1+ year of experience with inventory management
Able to work both indoors and outdoors in variable weather conditions, work environment may not be heated or air-conditioned while wearing long pants and PPE
Ability to read and follow spoken and written instruction and make independent decisions appropriate for data and circumstances

Ability to know and follow all proper safety protocols and procedures and safely perform all tasks

Essential Job Functions:
Adhere to all health and safety policies/procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and adhere to the required personal protective equipment (PPE) while in the warehouse or production areas (including but not limited to hairnets/beard nets, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard toe and slip/oil resistant shoes, appropriate safety gloves, and seatbelts while operating forklifts).
Responsible for adhering to food quality and food safety guidelines per Refresco, Customer and/or governing bodies (ex. SQF) standards.
Load and unload raw materials from incoming trucks and transport them to designated areas. Validate quantities by use of Blind Count Sheets or use of SAP transactions performed on forklift computer.
Ability to use SAP database through Vehicle Mounted Units (VMUs) installed on forklifts.
Load/unload trucks and perform all other warehouse functions within SAP using the forklift VMU.
Ability to operate powered industrial trucks (PIT's) in a high paced environment and be in-house forklift certified.
Supply raw materials to the production lines as required.
Perform pre-trip forklift inspections and adhere to forklift battery or propane tank changing operations and safety procedures.
Perform any other driving activities as directed by leadership.
Clean/maintain work areas throughout the shift.
Represents the company in a positive manner at all times.
May have production machine operation duties.
Required Skills:
Capability to read and write job instructions in the specified acceptable language(s) for the location.
Must be able to perform basic computer functions.

Summary
Forklift Operators are responsible for loading, unloading, sorting, staging and transporting products into and out of a warehouse. Individuals in this position must work cooperatively with other associates and productively with little supervision. Following company safety policies and procedures is of great importance to this position.
What You'll Do:
Operate a forklift safely and efficiently, in accordance with company or site-specific safety policies and procedures.
Load and unload trailers, railcars, and transports to designated area.
Check product on inbound/outbound to ensure that items and quantities are correct and there is no damage.
Use handheld scanners/equipment for warehouse management system compliance.
Perform daily maintenance inspections of equipment.
Work cooperatively with other warehouse associates.
Participate in keeping the facility maintained in a clean, neat, and orderly fashion.
Additional duties assigned by supervisor.
What We Need from You:
Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
Minimum of 1 year experience operating a forklift.
Must be able to move and/or lift up to 50 pounds, and perform physically exerting tasks of the jobs in a warehouse environment that may be non-temperature controlled, meaning the indoor temperature fluctuates throughout each season.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background investigation.
Must be able to work overtime and adjust schedule as needed.
Helpful Experience (Not Required):
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience with RF equipment.
Warehouse experience in a high-volume environment; experience in a food grade, refrigerated warehouse helpful.
Familiarity with and ability to use order management systems such as WMS.
Forklift certified.
