Job Responsibilities
Request and accept LOTO and/or PLOTO
Create Work Orders in the Maximo work management system to correct identified deficiencies
Perform equipment rounds as designated by Duke Energy to identify deficiencies and provide documentation of same
Receive limestone deliveries
Stock out limestone via Limestone Tripper Car
Relocate limestone loads inside Limestone Storage as needed
Bunker Limestone using the Portal Reclaimer or Emergency Reclaimer
Dump L5 Metal Detector collection bin as needed
Walk down all conveyors daily while belts are operating to identify deficiencies
Monitor all conveyor terminal points daily while belts are operating to identify deficiencies
Clear chute plugs
Clear plugs on Limestone Conveyor Dust Collector
Operate and/or check limestone/ gypsum conveyors as directed by Station Operations
Operate G6 Radial Stacker when gypsum is routed to the Gypsum Storage Pad
Operate the four emergency sump pumps as needed
One sump at Gypsum Storage Pad
One sump at the Crusher House
Two sumps at Limestone Storage Shed
Equipment Cleaning/ Lubrication
Perform all lubrication and cleaning activities associated with LlA and LlB Truck Unloaders
Perform cleaning on Limestone Tripper Car, pulleys, and tripper car rails
Maintain oil level in the Limestone Reclaimer drag chain reservoir
Housekeeping
Housekeeping includes cleaning up all trash, dusting, sweeping, washing, emptying trash cans, shoveling, operating a Bob Cat/ Skid Steer, using a vacuum truck (provided by DE), etc.
Prep and paint equipment as directed
Clean Unit 4 and 5 SCR/FGD Electrical Rooms weekly
Clean Ox Air Building weekly
Clean Gypsum Dewatering Building weekly

Key Responsibilities:
Safely and efficiently operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move goods around the facility.

Qualifications:

The Freight Handler is responsible for receiving inbound freight, loading and unloading trucks, selecting and moving product boxes between storage areas and loading areas in the warehouse according to customer orders as well as preparing items for shipment and loading outbound freight on our tractor trailers. Duties include assembling, addressing, and shipping goods and materials; receiving, unpacking, verifying and recording incoming merchandise and materials; and all details for arranging for the transportation of products.
Responsibilities
Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs.
Safely operates forklift to move product boxes from storage areas to loading areas and/or transportation areas.
Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles by hand or using forklifts, pallet jacks, tractors, or other equipment.
Prepares product for shipment as required by company policies and/or federal regulations.
Sort cargo before loading and unloading.
Attach identifying tags to pallets and boxes, or mark them with identifying information.
Stack cargo in locations such as loading docks as directed, using pallets.
Record numbers of units handled or moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets.
Install protective devices, such as bracing, padding, load locks or strapping to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported.
Position boxes and pallets so they can be loaded.
Maintain equipment storage areas to ensure that inventory is protected.
Clean up equipment and work areas.
Knowledge of equipment (forklifts and pallet jacks), policies and procedures to promote effective safety and security of people and facilities.
Ability to select, lift and move products in a safe and timely manner to meet transportation departure times for on-time delivery to customers.
