**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Performs work generally recognized as Storekeeper's work in storeroom areas located in maintenance bases and line operations including receiving, issuing, provisioning, checking, classifying, inventorying and storing of supplies, equipment, parts and materials
+ Opening, packaging and sealing of boxes and crates
+ Work may be performed indoors and outdoors where employees may be exposed to wide variety of weather conditions, noises and fumes and machinery
+ Performance of duties, will include climb & work from ladders, bend & stoop in confined areas and stand and/or walk for extended periods of time
+ Heavy lifting, pushing and pulling in the loading and unloading of trucks, carts and conveyors
+ Fueling assigned vehicles
+ Transporting parts and materials between various locations, sorting and counting items and preparing labels and related ticketing documents
+ Reading and interpreting documents or instructions to build kits for use in aircraft change orders, first aid, in-flight and charter services
+ Responsibility for maintaining an orderly and safe work area and maintaining familiarity with operating procedures, general rules and regulations
+ Operating a variety of equipment with manual and automatic transmissions including forklifts, trucks, tractors, tugs, and electric carts
+ Working with hand tools, such as remote computer terminal sets, bag sealers, saws, mobile radios, shears, knives and staplers
+ Handling hazardous materials, flammable materials and/or hazardous waste
+ Converting units of weights and measurements
+ Using a computer to track inventory
**Qualifications**
**What's needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):**
+ High School Diploma, GED or education equivalent
+ Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
+ Basic ability to convert units of weights and measurements
+ Must possess a valid state issued driver's license (suspended, expired, revoked or denied are not considered valid) and have an acceptable driving record
+ Must be flexible and willing to work any shift in a 24 hour/7 day a week operation including early mornings, afternoons, late nights, weekends, and holidays

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Eaton Aerospace Group located in Los Angeles; CA (near Glendale metro) has an opening for a Material Handler B. The LA facility has approximately 290 employees and is a leader in the design, development, manufacture and delivery of Aerospace hydraulic components, systems and services to the global aftermarket and OEM markets.
The Material Handler, who is under the supervision of the Logistics & Materials Supervisor, is tasked with various responsibilities. These include receiving incoming freight, executing receipt transactions in the ERP system, and reporting any discrepancies in shipments through Eaton's Cargo Claims process.
Additional duties of the Material Handler involve conducting cycle counts, constructing kits, pulling spare parts, and ensuring materials are received into stock. This role also encompasses packaging and processing shipments via the ERP system, generating bill of ladings for outbound shipments, scheduling LTL and direct air shipment pickups, and creating documentation for international shipments.
The Material Handler plays a crucial role in fostering a team-oriented environment and showcasing exceptional customer service skills. Purpose

Schedule domestic/international outbound/inbound shipments using various couriers (UPS, FEDEX, DHL,) to ensure production/customer schedules are met
Operate a forklift, pallet jack or scissor lift to move material between the production line and inventory locations
Support the broader department metrics, goals, and objectives
Perform all other duties as assigned by a supervisor and/or manager
Basic Qualifications
Ability to lawfully access information and technology that is subject to US export controls
Ability to work independently with minimal direction but under guidance from supervisor
Experience and understanding of inventory management and production kitting processes
Proficient using Microsoft products (Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word)
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively and efficiently
Ability to work in a fast-paced /cross functional environment
Excellent communication and team-building skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in automotive, aerospace, or scale-up manufacturing environments
Operational expertise with WMS offerings (Oracle, NetSuite, SAP, etc), and familiarity with MES environments (and fundamental understanding of integration requirements)
Experience with JIRA/Confluence
Knowledge of MRP/ERP Systems (Oracle, Netsuite, SAP, etc.)
Work Environment
Flexible to shift schedules depending on department/company requirements
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
Load and unload delivery trucks utilizing heavy machinery and equipment (pallet jack/forklift)
Must be able to work in areas that are loud for 8 hours
Ability to stand, bend for prolonged periods at a time
Must be onsite 5 days a week, with possible weekend support to ensure production schedule is met

Responsibilities:
Maintains cleanliness of Warehouse and Production rooms by performing tasks including, but not limited to, emptying daily production trash, managing pallet removal, disposing of production cardboard and making cardboard bails using Bailer Machine as needed.
Empties all daily production trash, manage all production cardboard, and make cardboard bails as needed.
Transports finished goods from Labeler areas and Storage File Box areas to Warehouse for shipping. Rotates/stages Storage File Box components in Warehouse.
Completes Inventory Cycle Counts as requested.
Ensures all materials are stored in the proper storage conditions at the end of each day.
Follows all policies and procedures as required for tasks and activities. Operates all Warehouse equipment and tools in compliance with all safety regulations.
Participates in the Daily Stand-up Production Meeting.
Ensures compliance with and/or follows all organizational systems, programs, training, policies, and procedures as required and complies with relevant legal mandates. Seeks guidance as necessary.
Actively supports and participates in the safety program, both for self-protection and the protection of other employees, by reading and abiding by all requirements in the Safety Manual and Injury Illness Prevention Program (IIPP).
Carries out all responsibilities in an honest, ethical and professional manner.
