* Move stock items from staging area and place in proper bin location.
* Count, weight, verify and post quantities in the computer.
* Issue parts and materials for manufacturing requirements as requested; stage in appropriate area as required for delivery to the plant.
* Work from picking tickets to select stock to fill customer orders; arrange loose items in tote pans, stage pans and cartons for packaging operation.
* Take cycle counts of stock items as scheduled.

* Count and verify stock against customer order prior to packaging.
* Select proper container for most economical use of packaging material and proper protection of items.

* Report faulty equipment, defective material, and unusual conditions to supervisor.
* Able to drive a box truck requiring a Class C license or the ability to obtain the license needed
* Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition.

Pay Transparency
nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. The Role:
Under direct supervision, the Material Handler II is responsible for processing daily distribution tasks specific to loading, unloading, moving/transferring, and transacting materials to support in-plant logistics. Individual must be attentive to detail and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This position also requires the person to be able to accurately complete transactions and fulfill requests in timely manner for the receipt, delivery, and shipment of all goods. These functions include operating in a cGMP environment and adhering to strong inventory management procedures.
This role will be located onsite in San Diego.
The Responsibilities:
Performs manual and clerical duties related to shipping, receiving, storing, issuing, and delivering a variety of materials, equipment, and supplies.
Perform physical counts of inventory.
Packs products for shipments.
Transports materials between departments, facilities, and/or production floor.
Transacts inventory/material movements in JDE system in an accurate and timely manner and in accordance to strong inventory control practices.
Selects and transacts materials for work orders and sales orders.
Follow the federal and international regulations regarding hazardous substance transportation.
Assures the accurate counting, staging and storage of materials and supplies.
Operates warehouse vehicles such as sit down, stand up and side-loader forklifts, pallet jacks, and related material handling equipment in narrow aisles and cold storage facilities.
Follow all standard operation procedures and GMP guidelines.
Adhere to all safety training and instructions and have knowledge of materials and safety.
Participates in the effective training of other employees.
