The Warehouse Clerk/Delivery Driver role will be responsible for the operation of the Alabama Industries for the Blind Warehouse at the Base Supply Center.

You will play a vital role in the operations of the Base Supply Center as you will be a part of the AIB team in producing high-quality work. This position reports to the Store Manager - Base Supply Center, Redstone Arsenal.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• High School Diploma or GED.

• Prepare trip and maintain accurate trip tickets, service reports, and accident reports.
• Assure cargo is loaded properly arranged, secured, and that the vehicle is not loaded beyond its capacity.
• Determine the best route to take to deliver the materials and supplies to avoid transportation damage.
• Must possess or develop an understanding of cultures and needs of persons who are deaf, blind or deaf/blind, ensuring all actions and decisions demonstrate a respect for and value of persons with sensory loss.

Keep all outside areas and grounds of facility clean and free of garbage and debris.
Gather and empty trash in all areas of facility.
Bale all cardboard and plastic stored throughout the facility.
Service, clean and supply all restrooms around facility when needed.
Clean building interior to include walls, offices, racks and any area included in the facility.
Use all chemicals only for their intended use and only according to specifications.
Report any accidents to manager on duty immediately.
Report any areas of the facility that appear to be unsafe or problematic.
Prior to the end of your shift each day ensure all empty pallets are removed from the pick area and properly stored.
Maintain open and clear communications with the owners, managers, and other employees of the company.
Maintain open and clear communications with the vendors and retailers that do business with the company.
Obtain from the Warehouse Manager approval prior to working in excess of your regular schedule.
Dress in uniform and maintain your personal appearance in a professional manner and according to company policy.
Conduct all your activities within the guidelines of all company policies and procedures.
Conduct all of your activities in accordance to the local, state and federal liquor control regulations.
Perform all work activities in accordance to the safe work practices, policies and procedures.
Adhere to all established inventory control procedures and practices.
Help second and third shift with the loading of carts/pallet trucks as needed.
All other duties as assigned.
