Is This Your Company?
Are they good to you? Are you in MA?Define "good." I told the story about my first locker in another post, but other than that I'm treated fine. I can not disclose my location because I do not want to be fired :P but no I do not live in MA.
I worked at Stop and Shop for 8 months doing cashiering/service desk/self checkouts. The job itself was boring but the people were what made it good. I guess most people can say that about any jobs though.I agree. But I really like the other cashiers that I work with. They are all down to earth and easy to talk to.
How old were you when you got the job? Have you considered Stop & Shop as a full-time career? Any horror stories with customers? How do the managers treat you (If you're a manager already, cool!.. how do you treat other co-workers?)I was 15 when I got the job (that's the youngest that they hire). I have not considered Stop & Shop as a full time career (at least at my local Stop & Shop) because I do not like my manager and I will tell you why in a minute. One "horror story" is when a customer ordered (literally) 70 bananas. Then, she took out about 50 coupons to pay for them. She ended up saving about $100 but the customers behind her were pissed because of how long it took to scan the coupons. I *** hate my manager. The main reason is when she gave me my locker. In the locker (when I first opened it) was someone else's shirt, pants, hat, lint remover, old newspaper, and a plate with a rooster on it. I talked to her about it and she didnt do anything and told me to handle it. I burned the clothes, broke the plate, and threw away the lint remover.
