A storage administrator is an individual who is responsible for overseeing the storage and retrieval of data and information for an organization. These individuals use IT (information technology) tools and software to keep an organization's data safe from hackers and security breaches, manage data, networks and install storage systems and backups.
Storage administrators also work to solve database errors, oversee staff in performing maintenance checks, troubleshoot storage issues as they arise, and ensure the efficiency and security of data storage systems.
