ASMs are responsible for day-to-day operation and development of their store, including customer service, training and development of all storeassociates, labor management, inventory control, asset protection, shrink, store conditions, and performance management.
Giant food has three ASM classifications, including Customer Service Manager (CSM); Non-Perishable Manager (NPM); and Perishable Manager (PM).
Primary responsibilities of all assistant store managers include:
Plan, implement, and follow-up on weekly sales programs
Manage, control, and track store payroll and budget, collaborating with management to meet sales, profit, payroll, and productivity goals; maintain and utilize payroll system to ensure accurate inputs, adjustments, and projections
Ensure compliance with Giant programs and policies as well as local, state and federal food, labor and safety regulations
Oversee and lead operational team, including department managers and associates
Expose part-time associates, department managers, and other management candidates to other skill areas; identify team leaders and promising internal candidates
Conduct store tours to evaluate store conditions vs standards and respond accordingly
Collaborate with store management and assist with all aspects of total store operations including: customer service, associate development, sales, profit, payroll, and productivity goals, store standards, and more
Develop a positive customer shopping experience and ensure customer satisfaction
Ensure overall store appearance, safety and customer experience upholds Giant Food standards and regulations
Respond to customer inquiries on merchandise and make appropriate recommendations
Ensure accuracy of store signage

The Role:
As a Fulfillment Associate, you will serve as the backbone for Fulfillment as a Service at Cart.com. Getting a package to a customer's doorstep is not an easy task. We're Looking for Fulfillment Associates:
As a Fulfillment Associate, you will be responsible for the packing of our kits that support Breakout's virtual team-building experiences. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner with a good work ethic and a passion for delighting customers. As part of the Breakout team, you'll support our mission to help remote employees feel more connected and happy in their work by ensuring they have fun experience kits to accompany their events.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Pack and ship kits to the participants of our events based on daily orders.
Follow all company guidelines regarding packing.
Monitor and ensure product quality.
Unpack deliveries, stock shelves, and perform inventory stocktakes.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
Prior experience in fulfillment, retail, or the arts is a plus!
Excellent skills in the areas of organization, efficiency, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Ability to be flexible and patient in a fast-paced, fun, and dynamic environment.

Logistics:
This is an in-person position, reporting to our homebase in DUMBO, Brooklyn.
This is an as-needed hourly position. Hourly needs vary week to week, Monday-Friday between 10am-6:30pm. We will reach out when shifts are available to be picked up.

ASMs are responsible for day-to-day operation and development of their store, including customer service, training and development of all storeassociates, labor management, inventory control, asset protection, shrink, store conditions, and performance management.
Giant food has three ASM classifications, including Customer Service Manager (CSM); Non-Perishable Manager (NPM); and Perishable Manager (PM).
Primary responsibilities of all assistant store managers include:
Plan, implement, and follow-up on weekly sales programs
Manage, control, and track store payroll and budget, collaborating with management to meet sales, profit, payroll, and productivity goals; maintain and utilize payroll system to ensure accurate inputs, adjustments, and projections

Knowledge of employment law, interview techniques, and general retail hiring practices
