Requirements:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Position operates in a high-volume Convenience Store and Gas Station in such a way as to maximize profits and minimizing expenses.

Greet each customer with a warm welcome to Z Stop.

Provide the level of service required to develop repeat customers.

Accurately process all sales and cash transactions in a friendly and professional manner.

Stock all merchandise according to policy and always maintain a clean and organized store.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure all sales transactions are completed according to established procedures.

Provide each customer with the highest quality customer service throughout the entire shift.

Stock merchandise according to plan and at the direction of management. Maintain inventory levels and a well-organized.

Accurately process every sale according to procedures established by management.

Maintain pumps according to procedures.

Makes sure that all customers are provided the highest quality service characterized by friendliness, accuracy, and speed.

Makes sure that all merchandise including gas is processed according to policy and ready for resale.

Assists the manager in maintaining and operating all systems including the point-of-sale system, pumps and any other equipment required to operate the store.

Clean the store, including sweeping floors, cleaning restrooms, wiping down shelves and generally working to provide customers and employee

Ensure that the gas station is a clean safe place to shop and work.

Flexible workweek with possible additional hours required.

Performs other job-related duties as directed.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

Graduation from High School, or equivalent preferred. Three (3) months of recent and related experience in customer service or convenience store \ gas station operations preferred.

Physical Demands

Essential duties involve physical exertion: prolonged periods of standing, walking, climbing stairs, stooping, bending, stretching, and reaching with standard breaks. Essential duties may require lifting, pushing, or pulling 35 to 50 pounds of related and equipment.

Work Environment

Working with large numbers of people in an inside environment with the need to go outside frequently in all types of weather conditions. Essential duties involve working within a high stress retail store and busy gas station environment. Ability to meet deadlines, work under the pressures of a growing business and manage cash in accordance with policy and direction.

Pay: $17.00 -$20.00/hr

DRESS CODE & PPE: Steel Toe Boots are required. Jeans and T-Shirt (no inappropriate words or pictures) can be worn. All other PPE is provided. *If worker wears eye glasses, side shields are required, AEP does not provide side shields.

Some local travel may be required, AEP Vehicles may be driven, MVR will be required for this position.

Ability to Lead, direct, and delegate to the Stores Attendant B and Material & Supply Yard Assistant required policies and procedures - inventory control, receiving materials as well as Assist both the Stores Attendant B and Material & Supply Yard Assistants in laydown yard procedures, including but not limited to moving material and operating equipment.

Lifting/Standing and the ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments and within all weather patterns * Most Laydown yards are outdoor locations and work is completed in both heat and inclement weather situations.

Heavy Equipment operation experience is preferred * Construction Experience* (can be trained on specific equipment but experience is helpful.)

*Case 821 (Wheeloader - All Terrain Forklift ) ability to operate up to 16K pounds of Material.
*JLG Telehandler - Operate all different sizes of this equipment *ability to operate 7K & 12K pounds of Material.
*Materials are extremely heavy, can be awkwardly shaped and long.

Assist the AEP Material Services organization by performing duties related to stores operations. The following sets forth the principal duties required for the job, which are normally performed. It is not intended to limit the assignment of work or set the degree of supervision under all conditions. An employee may perform miscellaneous, related and incidental work in addition to that outlined below.Essential Job Functions & Tasks:1. Issue material under proper authorization, and process required records. 2. Determine material requirements, and order replenishment stock; complete related records. 3. Check received material for quantity; make visual inspection for identity, breakage, and condition; initiate material receipt and related records. 4. Identify, sort and record material returned; place usable material in stock, and sort non-usable material into scrap containers. 5. Operate computer terminals and printers supporting a material management system, plus other office equipment such as calculators. 6. Prepare and pack material for shipment or storage. 7. Maintain and process stores related records. 8. Conduct sale of scrap or other materials as authorized, including weighing and loading such materials. 9. Maintain approved inventory levels. 10. Conduct inventory counts, and clear discrepancies with appropriate approval. 11. Pick up, haul, and deliver materials. 12. Ship and/or receive hazardous material, such as gasoline, oil, oil containing PCB, and lead-acid batteries, under required safety and environmental procedures. 13. Assist supervisor with maintaining efficient storage of materials, rearrangement or change of bins and racks, and making material location changes. 14. Operate material handling equipment such as hand trucks, forklift trucks, low lift trucks, hoists, overhead cranes, order pickers, or any other equipment as required. 15. Operate Company automotive equipment such as cars and trucks. 16. Maintain clean and orderly work areas and equipment. 17. Report irregularities and abnormal conditions. 18. Perform duties in accordance with Company safety rules, operating regulations, and practices. 19. Assist in the training of other employees. 20. Direct the work of employees assigned to assist. 21. Assist employees of all classifications. 22. Must be able to operate stores material handling equipment and road vehicles. 7. Must be able to safely lift and handle materials and equipment weighing up to 70 pounds. 8. A Physical Ability Test is also required.
