What you will have an opportunity to do:
The Food Storeroom Clerk (Receiving Clerk) provides outstanding customer service. Responsible for assisting with inventory control of food and supplies through accurate accounting of standing inventory, items received, and items issued, and for perishable inventory rotation. Assures that all items received are in good condition, at proper temperature, and according to Purchasing Department specifications..
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides Food and Beverage Purchaser with inventories, and communicates shortages and "out of stocks" to all affected areas and supervisors. Lists these on communication board.Receives daily deliveries according to inventory/order print out and bills. Checks all items for accuracy by weight, count, grade, brand, size, and expiration date.Refuses or returns all damaged or non-compliant goods.Dates all items received and stores rapidly according to perishability or condition received e.g. frozen and refrigerated first.Performs daily and weekly cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, storeroom, loading dock, rolling stock, and recycling bins.Gathers supplies for non-In-Patient areas.Follows dress code and all personal hygiene standards including: handwashing, use of gloves/hair covers, no gum, cleanliness, and jewelry.Flexible with schedule. Willing and able to help cover shortages of staff. Occasionally works overtime.Works to assume more responsibility increase knowledge and become a more productive member of the Culinary Team.Follows safe working procedures and tries to keep others from unsafe conditions or from being injured. Uses back brace and safety shoes.

The Storeroom Clerk role is based in Mitchell, IN and reports directly to the Procurement Manager.
What you'll get to do
• Receive, unpack and GR parts, materials, and supplies. Compare packing slips against a purchase order to verify the quality and quantity of merchandise received. Check receipts for shortages, damages, or defects; complete shortage reports as needed.
• Move and store received parts, materials, and/or supplies on shelves, in bins, or on the floor, according to identifying information, such as style, size, type, etc. Operate forklift to move and store parts. Coordinate receipt of incoming stock and delivery of parts to other buildings or locations throughout the plant.
• Issue parts, equipment, and expendable items to employees to be used in the plant. Write, type, or enter information into the computer to maintain stock, inventory, and SAP databases and/or records.
• Search for parts based on SAP number, part description, equipment where it's used, or other methods.
• Create and manage excel spreadsheets to track non-stock inventory items and other consumable goods.
• Effectively communicate using Microsoft outlook daily
• Coordinate and communicate with outside vendors to resolve part discrepancies, request quotes, or other common needs.
• Take inventory of parts and equipment and maintains accurate inventory records. Coordinate weekly reorder of consumable parts (e.g. hardware, bolts, grinding wheels, etc.) with vendor representative(s).
• Perform weekly cycle counts to ensure 100% completion by end of the year.
• Review files to determine unused items and recommends disposal of excess stock. May receive, store, and sort unserviceable equipment and supplies for sale, disposal, or reclamation.
• Read technical manuals or other reference materials to ascertain the type and specification of parts. Maintain basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical parts.
• Housekeeping, organizing, and cleaning storeroom areas.
• Follow plant and MSHA Safety Policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Maintain an awareness of plant environmental standards. Collaborates with teammates in taking corrective actions to address minor problems or reports compliance issues to the appropriate supervisor for resolution.
Essential Experience and Skills
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Previous storeroom, material handling, or related experience and/or training; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (i.e. word, excel, outlook)
• CMMS / SAP experience preferred
• Forklift Certification is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to speak effectively with employees of the organization.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; and can calculate interest and/or percentages.
Work Environment
