Position Summary: In this role, you'll work in conjunction with the General Superintendent, Director of Operations, Estimating, and Employee Resources Team to manage the company's Self Perform Program. You'll contribute to the hiring and training of hourly craftworkers, project deployments, and the efficient execution of the self-performed work for Story including concrete and precast concrete erection, steel and steel erection, rough and finish carpentry, process piping, and equipment setting operations. Summary of Duties: Working in conjunction with General Superintendent and Director of Operations, coordinate craftworker project assignments in the Manpower schedule. Prepare craftworker manpower projections looking 6-12 months forward to facilitate planning for upcoming resource needs. Assist in identifying strategies to secure workable SPW backlog to reduce variability in Storys craftworker count. Work in conjunction with Story Employee Resource Team to implement and maintain Storys craftworker training and career development program. Review Self-Performed Work labor and equipment estimates (prepared by the Estimating Department) with Preconstruction Manager before finalization. Communicate project labor/equipment estimates and execution plans with project teams at project kick-off. Review monthly labor projections across projects and compare against estimates, raising issues to the General Superintendent and Director of Operations. Provide troubleshooting support to project teams when needed. Identify and implement tools, processes, and strategies to improve the efficiency, productivity and effectiveness of self-performed work. Promote and reinforce a culture of safety with support from Storys Safety Personnel. Support quality execution of self-performed work. Support and drive utilization of Storys CP2.0 work-planning system. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: 5 years of commercial project management experience, including experience in managing self-performed labor on multiple projects. Advanced knowledge in Story's self performed work scopes including constructability, scheduling, costing/projecting, and productivity management. Software experience to include Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, Procore, and Sage Estimating systems Travel:Out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected; sites are located throughout central Iowa and across the state.
