POSITION SUMMARY: A Production Line Worker I is a general laborer responsible for safely and efficiently performing general labor duties at a glass recycling facility.

Process and sort materials through a production line which may require standing.
Maintain material flow and ensure quality product by completing routine checks on optical sorters and screens.
Clean a specific zone that may include conveyors, sorters, platforms, stairs, screens, and floors.
Wear appropriate site specific personal protective equipment (PPE), as required.
Understand and adhere to all company operating procedures and company safety policies.
Maintain a safe work environment by following our process and procedures (5S).
Maintain a clean work area by picking up trash and sweeping the floor.

· Travel to operation facilities to assist with setup and support of new & continuous improvement process development and production startup.
· Work with EBM equipment vendors to ensure proper training materials, maintenance, and operations manuals are easy to understand and spend time at vendor's manufacturing sites to train on their equipment to develop as internal expert resource for EBM technology.
· Able to work safely in an environment with industrial equipment and provide support on safety improvements to machine design, operation, and layout.
· Assist with machine changeovers and troubleshooting as required to support manufacturing operations.
· Able to use test equipment for basic bottle measurements scales, calipers, optical comparator, magna mike, top load tester, etc.
· Verify that the correct materials are being used and are properly prepared, review bill of material documents during new product set up.
· Support Product Development Engineers and plant on new product startups.

o Evaluate parts to determine if bottles meet specification requirements.

* Will safely assist the Operator in grinding bottles during startup of the machines, clear jams on the downstream, housekeeping around the entire machine including grinders, downstream, under the takeouts.
* Will safely assist the Maintenance department through housekeeping on and around machines that are down for planned maintenance.
* Evaluates and takes appropriate action to maintain a safe work environment with established standards and guidelines.
