Join Strategic Therapy Associates in Virginia! We're seeking a Resident in Counseling (or QMHP-C with 5 years experience) with family therapy experience. Learn and implement Brief Strategic Family Therapy (BSFT) to help adolescents and families with conduct problems. We'll pay for your BSFT certification (over $1600 value!) and may offer free clinical supervision for licensure!
Your Role:
Manage a caseload of 8-10 families (ages 6-18), diverted from family court.
Provide home, office, and telehealth mental health services.
Be flexible: evening, weekend, and holiday availability is a must.
Complete all documentation to standards.
Collaborate with support services and participate in supervision.
We're Looking For:
Virginia-registered Resident in Counseling (LMHP-R) or Supervisee in Social Work (LMHP-S), or eligible to register.
QMHP-C with 5+ years experience working with children and families also considered.
Valid driver's license, insurance, own vehicle, and good driving record.
Passion for serving youth/families, strong communication, and a focus on outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct individual and group psychotherapy sessions for patients in a subacute or skilled nursing facility.
Assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of emotional and behavioral health conditions, including depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, and cognitive decline.

Key Responsibilities:
Meet prescription fulfillment goals as assigned by Clinical Director
Required to meet both hourly and monthly authorization fulfillment equaling an average of 25 billable hours per week
Required to conduct parent training/caregiver collaboration in both the clinic and home setting (if appropriate)
Maintain relationships with parents of current clients and conduct caregiver collaboration and training sessions as assigned with a minimum of 1 parent training per client per month
Ensures client programming is ethical, appropriately individualized, and provided with integrity by making consistent programming decisions for assigned clients and conducting overlaps with clients and behavior technicians
Ensure oversight of programming implement in both the center based setting and community settings (if applicable)
Design and implement Treatment Plans (TP) for assigned clients
Update progress reports for assigned clients

Direct, lead & supervise behavior technicians as part of managing programs, including oversight of assigned RBT supervision hours
Keep up to date on current research and best practices

Promote Bierman Autism Centers within the community

Requirements
Basic & Essential Functions:
Must be able to lift and carry clients who are least 30 pounds
Must be willing and able to restrain/hold/transport and utilize quick body movements as indicated in the Behavior Support Plan in the course of working with children with challenging behavior
