The Distribution Assistant collaborates closely with the Distribution Manager, production teams, and external vendors to support seamless supply chain operations. · Support the distribution process by assisting with receiving, tracking, storing, and distributing materials and products to ensure accuracy and timeliness. · Assist with inventory control activities, including monitoring stock levels, updating inventory records, identifying shortages, and supporting replenishment efforts. · Create, track, and maintain purchase orders, ensuring accuracy, proper documentation, and timely processing. · Communicate with vendors regarding order status, delivery timelines, discrepancies, and follow-up needs as directed. · Assist with the internal raw material fulfillment process to ensure materials are prepared and delivered accurately to internal teams. · Coordinate with production teams to support alignment between material availability and production schedules. · Assist with maintaining required documentation and supporting compliance with all applicable regulations related to distribution, materials handling, and safety. · Maintain organized records related to purchasing, inventory, and vendor communications. · Identify and communicate opportunities for process improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness. · Perform general administrative and operational support tasks related to distribution and supply chain operations as assigned. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or coursework in business, logistics, supply chain, or related field preferred. 1-3 years of experience in distribution, logistics, inventory management, purchasing, or a related role preferred. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ERP or inventory systems preferred.
