Stronghold Engineering, Inc. an award winning Electrical, General and Civil Contractor is seeking strong Equipment Operators to help support our growth. Join our team as an Equipment Operator and embark on an adventure like no other at the Grand Canyon.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Operates one of more of the following pieces of heavy construction equipment skillfully, safely, and in accordance with traffic laws and regulations scrapers, heavy graders, motor graders or blades, self-propelled hoist, large trenchers, rock cutters, low boy truck tractors, power shovel drag line and/or clam shell, heavy duty wreckers, front end loaders, heavy steel wheeled rollers, bulldozers, and other light weight, medium weight, and heavy duty equipment.
Adjusts hand wheels and depress pedals to control attachments, such as blades, buckets, scrapers and swing booms.
Services and makes minor repairs to equipment; refers defects or needed repairs to Project Superintendent or Foreman.
Align machines, cutter heads or depth gauge makers with reference stakes and guidelines or ground or position equipment, following hand signals of other workers.
Drive and maneuver equipment equipped with blades in successive passes over working areas to remove topsoil, vegetation, and rocks, and to distribute and level earth or terrain.
Coordinate machine actions with other activities, positioning or moving loads in response to hand or audio signals from crewmembers.
Inspects equipment before use to ensure that it is in proper operating condition.
Cleans heavy equipment as scheduled and/or required using appropriate materials.
Hauls materials and equipment to job sites; loads and unloads equipment, material, and supplies; strings grade lines; and backfill ditches.
Loads and places sand, earth, rock, asphalt, and other construction and maintenance materials using trucks, crawler tractors, power cranes, shovels, graders or related equipment. Cuts and grades areas to engineer specifications.
Locates underground services, such as pipes and wires, prior to beginning work.
Performs all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
Takes actions while operating equipment to avoid potential hazards and obstructions, such as utility lines, other equipment, other workers, and falling objects.
Attends training and safety meetings as required.
Instructs and trains other equipment operators and/or Apprentice Equipment Operators in the use of heavy equipment.
Presents self in a professional manner, provides open and honest communication, and demonstrates respect to co-workers and customers.
Prepares special reports and correspondence as requested by supervisor.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education / Certificates / Licenses
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Heavy equipment operator certificate required.
Valid Class A California Drivers License with clean driving record.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE GRAYCOR ENGINEERING MENTORING PROGRAM, YOU WILL NEED:
Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or other relevant technical discipline.
0-3 years of relevant construction internship or post-undergraduate experience.
The ability to travel extensively and temporarily reside at the project site for extended periods of time, with travel home provided every other weekend. Travel subsistence pay and travel incentive bonuses may apply.

Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering or related field.

DPR Construction is seeking a Senior Field Engineer with 5 years of commercial construction experience.
Sr. Field Engineers will be assigned to DPR projects within our core markets: Healthcare, Higher Education, Advanced Technology, Life Sciences and Commercial. Field Engineers will work closely with all members of the project team and will be responsible for some if not all of the following:
Assisting and supporting field work under the direction of the Project Superintendents and Assistant Superintendents.

Assist in the completion of project close-out activities, including developing/completing items from corrective action lists and punch lists.
Coordinate work-in-place quantities and DPR labor.
Directs Company foreman and laborers at the discretion of the Project Superintendent.
Has internal contact with:
Project Management Staff; To coordinate shop drawings, expedite materials and coordinate with assigned duties.
Has external contact with:
Subcontractors and Vendors; To ensure the timely delivery of required materials, proper installation of same, and adherence to schedule and safety requirements.
Architects and Consultants; To obtain information regarding changes and clarification of drawings.
Building Officials; To assure that necessary inspections are coordinated in a timely manner
Attend and participate actively in Superintendent Peer Group Meetings.

Qualifications

Ability to read basic blue prints and shop drawings.
Develop skills around Excavation safety and Fall protection.
Thorough understanding of plans, specifications and subcontractor scopes.
Learn Total Station Layout and control and operate in that capacity for a minimum 4 month period in the field.
Competent user of BIM modeling and ability to get obtain specific detail in the building through the model.
Working knowledge of P6 software and Our Plan.
Develop presentation and communication skills.
General knowledge of the project Monthly Status Reports (MSR).
Read and understand DPR'S labor cost reports (LCR).
Ability to perform field take-offs; order, receive, return, and track equipment and material.
Understanding of crane safety and rigging competency. Knowledge of rigging hand signals.
Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and ability to deal with diverse types of people in a tactful, professional, and effective manner.
Ability to deal with pressures of deadlines, heavy workloads, demanding people, and constant interruptions.

* Review and report on the adequacy of budget and schedule performance on projects;
* Provide contract administration advice on client agreements, subcontract agreements, change orders, billing, payments and time-related issues;
* Review the systems and processes used for contract management;
* Ensure project control reporting documents are produced and that they clearly reflect the schedule and timeline status, cost or budget considerations, changes, supplier performance, and other risk levels;
* Liaise with scheduling resources to review the relationship between schedule updates and associated costs and verify the relevant change orders are being entered into the schedule;
* Review the change order process on projects where changes are requested, understanding the impact on schedule and budget and ensure they are evaluated accurately, changes are negotiated and resolved, and that the change is documented and communicated to the project team and owner;
* Review and analyze project forecasts and monitor owner allowances contingencies and resulting costs for DPR Construction to complete;
* Review cost, scheduling, and contract-related data required of and produced by subcontractors to ensure accuracy of deliverables (e.g., materials/labor was delivered as required in contract);
* Review and advise with developing and structuring document control, and;
* Monitor CMiC (our project management database) for accuracy and maintenance.
Skills, Education and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in either; Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Accounting or related with 7 years of experience with large scale construction projects.
A professional qualification relating to construction and / or Internal Controls and Internal Audit
Special Requirements:
Experience with the following:
CMiC PM or similar project management software/cost database;
Microsoft 360 Suite of products;
Construction systems and sequence of construction;
Reviewing commercial construction projects valued at $10 million or more;

Quality Control Inspectors are expected to visually inspect all products going through the factory within their assigned areas. Duties and Responsibilities:
Work with the quality manager to identify quality issues and help ensure the highest quality product
Work professionally with area leads, production personnel, weld technicians (including robots), and “others” to report, address, and document quality issues and concerns.
Document and track all quality inspections using electronic reporting app, paper documents, and any other DBC assigned method(s).
Read and understand production details and spool sheets
Help create and implement the proper quality check(s) utilizing tools
Attend any training that aids in job functions (roles and responsibilities)
Manage and maintain document creation, flow, distribution, and uploading (which may include digital and hard copies).
Aid in training new and existing employees
Meet quality inspection requirements to assist in production flow
