This position is not suitable for applicants with only welding experience. There are no welding duties in this position.
Specific job responsibilities will include: Working alongside a Foreman/Superintendent to execute daily tasks
General concrete repair (demolition, rebar installation, carpentry, concrete pours, finishing) Operating power-tools (i.e rotary hammers, chipping hammers, hammer drills, etc.).Post-tension repair
Rebar/post-tension installation and stressing
Independently traveling between projects.
The ideal candidate will be / have:
Focused on safety in all situations and environments.
Comfortable with the use of standard PPE at construction sites.
Team and solution oriented, with a proactive, professional, positive attitude.
Experienced construction field technicians / laborers
Advantageous if familiar with concrete repair, formwork and finishing, grouting, and placement/tying of rebar.
Advantageous if familiar with the installation and/or stressing of post tensioning systems
Familiarity with new construction and existing buildings
Comfort with working at heights
The ability to read and speak English.
The ability to lift material up to 50lbs
Good hand-eye coordination & capable of standing for extended periods of time.
Motivated to work more than 40 hours per week.
Desire to grow and advance within the company with commensurate salary growth
Prior experience in post tensioning is ideal but not required. An ideal candidate is hardworking, reliable, and ready to learn at a fast pace.
Candidates who are bilingual in Spanish / English may be given preference.
Candidates who are union ironworkers/rodbusters with ability to work union or open-shop projects may be given preference.

Monitor material quantities, production rates, and equipment performance.
Maintain accurate daily reports, paving logs, and quantity records.
Remove rough or defective spots from concrete surfaces and patch holes.
Mold expansion joints and edges.
Oversee setup, pouring, finishing, and curing of concrete pavement
Produce concrete surface.
Direct subgrade work, mixing of concrete and setting of forms.
Break up and repair old concrete surfaces.
Calculate amounts of concrete required for each job.
Picture objects from drawings and diagrams.
Compare and see differences in size, shape and form of lines, figures, and objects.
Knowledge of slipform paving operations, CRCP, and concrete mix design.

Summary/Objective
We recruit highly skilled individuals for a variety of disciplines in the construction field. Qualified applicants will have experience working on Heavy Civil, Roadway, or Bridge Projects.
The concrete finisher is responsible for the overall quality of leveling and texturizing of concrete pavements, sidewalks, driveways, etc., on concrete surfaces on our jobs. Must be able to work as part of a team to accomplish a common goal as directed by the Foreman.

Assist in handwork, prep work and cleanup as directed by the foreman.

SUMMARY OF POSITION
Kinsley is currently seeking Concrete Workers including form carpenters, rebar placement and concrete placement. Our work includes deep foundations, complicated machine foundations, quarry foundations and heavy industrial structural renovations. Concrete finishing experience is preferred.
Employees will be based out of Kinsley's Hagerstown, MD office but travel in the mid-Atlantic region for projects will be required. Kinsley will provide hotels and transportation for this required work-related travel.
TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Use and/or assist with instruments for precise layout.
Perform excavation and backfill.
Non CDL truck driving is required.
Perform formwork, placement of anchor bolts and placement of embeds.
Perform placement of rebar.
Perform placement of concrete including large mass pours, foundations, formed piers, formed walls, supported slabs and small areas of slab on grade.
Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required.
REQUIREMENTS
3-5 years of experience is required.
Comprehension of construction drawings is required.
Must be familiar with all means of placement and curing of concrete.
Must be able to operate manual transmissions.
Current driver's license is required.
Must be familiar with or willing to learn OSHA and MSHA safety regulations.
