The Project Manager will provide a keen focus on the quality delivery and profitability of the job by planning, scheduling, and managing the project team while ensuring that the schedule and project goals for the job are met. It is critical that the Project Manager perform this work within the policies, ethical standards and objectives of Hermanson Company. Project Managers will also be responsible for employee training and development (including their own growth and development), coordination with other departments and group managers to help meet strategic company goals, and for providing world-class customer service and building strong customer trust and relationships. The successful Project Management candidate will have the technical and working knowledge generally achieved from at least 5 - 10 years of successful experience in the mechanical construction industry in capacities that would provide direct experience and exposure to Project Manager duties. The salary range for this position is $95,000 to $140,000. (The compensation offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills and experience). Qualifications The successful Project Management candidate will have the technical and working knowledge generally achieved from at least 5 - 10 years of successful experience in the mechanical construction industry in capacities that would provide direct experience and exposure to project manager duties. In addition, we are seeking someone who: Has a proven track record of excellent customer relations and problem solving. Has a strong technical knowledge of mechanical system operations, Developing and managing project plans, schedules, and scopes of work. Preparing client and subcontractor change orders. Monitor, control, and report on the financial performance of projects. Coordination of work with trades, subcontractors and vendors. Coach and mentor project team members. Develop project staffing plans to include labor, subcontractors. Is an accomplished team player. Can demonstrate solid computer and online navigation skills Has good math, communication, and reasoning ability and strong business skills. Education Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business, or Engineering preferred or equivalent education and experience. Join us and let's build the future together! Responsibilities Manage, plan, schedule, and coordinate project activities to ensure timely completion. Prepare and submit proposal estimates, budget reports, progress updates, and cost tracking reports. Construct RS Means estimates using E4 clicks software. Monitor projects for compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards. Direct construction activities for structures, facilities, and systems based on job specifications. Investigate and address construction site incidents and delays to ensure adherence to proper procedures. Negotiate and revise contracts with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors. Implement quality control and environmental protection programs. Explain plans and contract terms to stakeholders, including administrative staff, workers, and clients. Conduct pre-building assessments and feasibility studies, including cost estimating and sustainability evaluations. Secure necessary permits and licenses for construction projects. Evaluate construction methods using computer models to optimize cost-effectiveness. Supervise construction personnel and subcontractors. Resolve work procedures, complaints, and construction issues through collaboration with supervisors, owners, contractors, and design professionals. Possess working knowledge of all project plans, specifications, contract with Owner, subcontracts, purchase orders, daily correspondence, shop drawings, submittals, and all other project related documents, and maintain a complete and accurate set of as-builts. Assist in expediting payment from the owner and expedite prompt processing of invoices and prompt payment through to subcontractor for amounts due to them. Prepare change proposals, negotiate change orders, execute change orders, issue change orders to subcontractors and others and prepare revisions with direction of Project Manager. Document potential schedule delays and promptly notify supervision to submit request for extension of time and/or additional costs as per terms of the Contract. Keep the Project Manager fully informed of any problem areas on the project. Prepare and assist in establishing and execution of the project punch list. Actively participate and/or lead post-bid, buyout, O/A/C, coordination, subcontractor, staff and scheduling meetings. Qualifications Education: Four (4) year degree in an accredited construction related curriculum (BSCE, BSCM, BSAE, etc.) preferred. Equivalent work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. Experience: At least three (3) years' experience as Project Engineer or other construction-related experience required. One (1) year of experience as an Assistant Project Manager preferred. Experience working on healthcare projects desired. Demonstrated proficiency in these areas: estimating, scheduling, budgeting/cost control, field supervision, financial reporting, client relationship, interpersonal skills, computer skills, safety/insurance, ability to communicate effectively, both written and oral.
