Clean off excess weld spatter. * Manufacture and inspect part to blueprint specifications. * Perform first piece, in-process and last piece inspection per print. * Operate welding and all other tools/fabrication equipment, grinders, buff wheels in a safe manner.

Removes rough spots from work piece, using portable grinder, hand file, or scraper. Inspects grooves, angles, or gap allowances, using micrometer, caliper, and precision measuring instruments. Follow blueprints to arrange metal pieces and temporarily fix them into position before welding. Keep work area clean and organized. Make recommendations for process improvements. Perform equipment inspections prior to use. Report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the Plant and/or Maintenance Manager. Work accordingly to meet Safety and Quality goals. Work with team to balance workload to meet On Time Delivery goals. Manage company resources to ensure budgetary integrity and client satisfaction. Deburr and grind metal as necessary to achieve proper surface texture. MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge of welding techniques, tools and equipment. Must be detail oriented, self-motivated and disciplined with the ability to multi-task. Demonstrated mechanical aptitude. Able to read and interpret blueprints. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge of welding techniques in the following areas: oxygen-acetylene, electric arc, MIG and TIG and other types of weld based on project needs. Knowledge regarding proper fillers for weld jobs. Highly skilled in the use of MIG, FCAW & TIG welding processes on a variety of Stainless Steel, Carbon Steel, and Aluminum components and is able to pass certification tests to ASME and AWS codes.
