MECHANIC JOB DUTIES
Perform skilled mechanic duties involving troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing gasoline and diesel powered automotive, heavy and light construction and other power-driven equipment
Inspect, diagnose, repair and adjust a variety of systems on light and heavy equipment and vehicles including fuel injection systems, anti-lock brake systems, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, air conditioning systems, fuel management systems, transmissions, steering and suspension components, clutches, and engine sensors
Inspect motorized and mechanical equipment; diagnose problems and determine extent of necessary repairs; perform routine preventative maintenance*
Overhaul, repair and adjust engines, transmissions, clutches, differentials, carburetors, generators, distributors and pumps; fit and adjust bearings; install axles and wheels
Diagnose, maintain and repair electrical system components, ignition systems, alternators, high voltage power generators, starters and batteries
Diagnose and repair front and rear drive axles, drive train components, belts, gears, and chain drives
Replace or repair faulty parts including wheel bearings, clutches, oil seals, shock absorbers, exhaust systems, steering mechanisms and related parts and equipment
Weld, fabricate and assemble parts and equipment for automotive and heavy equipment; fabricate and modify tools as needed
Maintain vehicle files in accordance with FMCSA standards
Maintain and repair shop equipment; clean and maintain assigned work area; dispose of hazardous materials according to established procedures

Qualifications
MECHANIC REQUIREMENTS:
Mechanic experience and activities of a comprehensive vehicle, light and heavy equipment maintenance and repair program
Mechanic operating and repair characteristics of a wide variety of light and heavy equipment systems including electrical, hydraulic, braking, air conditioning, fuel, ignition, steering, suspension and transmission
Minimum Class B CDL with clean driving record
High school diploma or GED
Welding experience a plus
Must satisfy the requirements for a possessor of explosives as defined by the BATFE
Must be at least 21 years of age as required by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE)
Must pass drug screening commercial drivers physical and criminal background checks

Company seeking pump/maintenance/heavy equipment mechanics. Looking to fill positions with candidates that are willing to work hard repairing equipment from the industrial pump market. Must have good mechanical aptitude and interests with knowledge of hand tools and attention to detail. Responsible for disassembly, dimensional analysis, evaluation, repair, and assembly of various types of 'high energy' industrial pumps.
Responsibilities:
Dismantle pumps into individual components utilizing hand/air tools, power tools, torch sets, cranes, etc.Examine/Inspect components with micrometers, dial indicators, depth micrometers, hardness tester, etc.Complete forms and supplement with written reports of findings from inspections.Assemble pumps with conventional and state-of-the-art methods.Some day trips for field service jobs
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a mechanic or pump experience.Fluent in shop equipment such as micrometers, torque wrenches, oxy/acetylene torches, overhead cranes, tow motor, and other industrial tools.Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Organized and detail-oriented Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Schedule:
10 hour; 1st shift; M-F. Saturdays typically morning shift. Additional overtime as required.
