Heartland Veterinary Partners' Externship Program works to provide 1st-4th year veterinary students with hands-on experience and mentorship to help have them 'practice ready' by their first day in practice.
Externships are typically 2 weeks long and Heartland will cover the cost of lodging if needed.
Length of externship is flexible & we can support your preceptorship documentation as well.
Requirements/Qualifications
Eligibility
Must be currently enrolled in an AVMA Accredited Veterinary School
Must be able to provide student PLIT
Student Ambassadors are a highly respected group of students on campus due to their knowledge of the college, their excellent customer service skills, and the professional behavior with prospective students and their families. For this reason, Ambassadors provide tours, take part in admission events, sit on panels, and help with recruitment outreach.
TOUR TIMES
Each tour is one hour long. Each ambassador will be assigned at least one tour per week. Tours take place at only the select times on the following days:
Monday - Thursday: 9:45am and 1:45pm
Friday: 10:15am, 1:45pm, and 3:00pm
Saturday: 8:45am & 10:00am (ND home games) or 9:45am & 11:00am (No ND home games)
