Summary
This position is responsible for providing outstanding service to students, instructors, and general public in the community by providing customer information and knowledge of all aspects of the college, admissions process, programs, school policies, billing practices, and facilitating the daily operation of the Regional Center. Normally work will be performed at the Regional Center, but staff may be assigned to work remotely under certain circumstances with prior authorization of the manager. Essential Functions and Responsibilities
The following duties are primarily performed and are essential for this position. Employees are expected to be able to perform each of these job duties satisfactorily to be qualified for the position. Other duties may be required and assigned.
Serves as the initial customer service contact for all student services. Assess student needs and provide direct assistance in helping students apply to the College, enroll in class, collect documents, process payments, and apply for funding. Understand and communicate program plans, checklists, and admissions requirements.
Process enrollments for student records for all in-person, mail-in, email and contract classes; maintain daily log files and records regarding individual student academic record, process unofficial transcript requests, process receipts and mail to students.
Provide information on all FVTC programs to prospective students which requires understanding the programs, courses, and student services at the College. Assess student needs and provide referrals to college and community resources to support the educational goals of the student.
Utilize the CRM system to enter leads appropriately and ensure targeted communication is distributed per established rules to prospective students. This includes collaborating with the CRM Enrollment/Retention Specialist to provide feedback to influence strategies to successfully meet the needs and demands of customers.
Provide one-on-one and/or group intake sessions for incoming students to discuss FVTC program requirements, scheduling classes, paying for college, and developing a plan for transition from their current situation to being an enrolled student. This may include collaboration with faculty and other departments across the College. Assist with Open House, New Student Orientation, tours, and other Student Services/Student Life activities.
Address Student Financial Services questions (student payments, payment plan enrollment, general financial aid questions). Serves as primary contact for third party billing for classes and governmental agencies.
Serve as College cashier - open/close cashier office, balance/reconcile daily collection, create bank deposit slip, verify all center deposit slips, and personally transport all deposits to the bank.
Administer and monitor standardized testing sessions and collect, score, record, and report results. Proctor tests for outside organizations, and internal departmental exams. Maintain security of testing materials and environment. Interpret college entrance assessments. Inform students and staff about policies, procedures, and operations of the testing center. Administering a variety of academic and skills tests.
Serve as the center instructional contact by assisting instructor, student, and community entities. This may involve room set up, supplies, assist with virtual and online class connectivity, blackboard, zoom or other modes of virtual communications.
Compose, design and/or edit correspondence, reports, forms, agendas, presentations, minutes, and create and distribute flyers for class offerings. Create and develop advertisements for social media (Facebook), radio, and local newspapers following FVTC marketing protocol.
Responsible for determining the nature of emergency messages and following proper procedure to contact student. In the absence of the manager, serves as the security personnel at the outreach location including emergency evacuations. Disarms the building at the start of the day and/or secures and closes the building.
Non-Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Cross-train in all regional center functions.
Contribute ideas to, and help develop new initiatives including new courses, etc. in an effort to expand the regional center offering and presence in the community.
Gather, coordinate, maintain, and monitor the college's processes to provide and create reports for internal and external use in reporting to the State and Federal government and auditors as needed.
Willingness to travel to off-site locations for class registration and informational programs.
Provide assistance in contracting to include hospitality, room set up, instructor support, etc.
Proctor and schedule exams for other educational entities.
Minimum QualificationsEducation and/or Experience Requirements:
Associate degree in Administrative Assistant or related field.
Two years of recent relevant office and customer service experience.
Licenses, Certifications, and Other Requirements:
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Proficiency in Workday is preferred.

Additional Information
Starting Range: $21.88 - $25.74 per hour

Your impact
Teaching Assistants (TAs) play a critical role in supporting ~25-30 Learners (as part of a larger class) in Correlation One's virtual training programs. During that time, TAs will be expected to provide both synchronous and asynchronous support to Learners, ensuring their learning, comprehension, and retention of program content.
We are currently adding Teaching Assistants: Cloud Support Specialist to our Expert Network, in anticipation of projects that will launch this year and next year. This is a proactive hiring effort, where you will participate in our interview process and be added to our Expert Network. Once approved for our Expert Network, our team will be able to share various opportunities for you to support projects, programs, and our learners.

A day in the life
Expectations during live (synchronous) sessions:
Attend and proactively engage in the mandatory Pre-Program TA Onboarding. Dates and times will be announced.
Monitor appropriate Slack channels (#c1-TA, #live-chat, #extra-help, and other relevant channels) for Learner questions and answer them promptly.
Check-in with Learners after each live session by asking how they're feeling about the content, if they have any questions, or if there is anything that they need further clarity.
Facilitate breakout rooms during lecture time, when applicable.
Assist in keeping the session progressing should the Lead Instructor experience technical difficulty or is otherwise unable to deliver the lecture.
Expectations during days of no live sessions:
Monitor appropriate Slack channels for Learner questions and answer them within 24 hours.
Foster discussion by posing questions of your own and sharing relevant links in the #resources channel or in other appropriate Slack channels.
Use the #c1-TA channel to share any important information during a lecture that needs the attention of Correlation One staff or fellow Expert Network staff.
Review content materials (including lab, projects, extended cases, etc..) for the next lecture to ensure you are prepared to answer Learner questions.
Hold up to six (6) Individual Office Hours via Zoom with Learners in the program so they can ask any additional questions or get support as necessary.
Grade Learner submissions of exercises and projects within seven (7) days of submission.
Support continuous program improvement by providing thoughtful feedback to Correlation One team via Weekly Write Ups.
Submit weekly write-ups summarizing the week's accomplishments and challenges and provide insights on each Learner. This is due by Sunday at 8:00pm ET each week.
Attend and participate in the weekly staff meeting with Correlation One team and other Expert Network staff.
Attend all scheduled meetings with your camera on, ensuring active engagement and professional presence.

What you will do
Knowledgeable of and follows correct techniques in the collection and labeling of specimens; assists in appropriate procedures under the guidance of a preceptor. Will spend the majority of time directly with the RN Preceptor observing direct patient care duties. Implements identified plan through coordination of care with interdisciplinary care team to employ strategies to promote health and wellness.
Collaborative with interdisciplinary care team encompassing strategies to achieve expected outcomes. Assumes responsibility for patient safety by utilizing appropriate channels to communicate patient safety and patient care issues to appropriate bodies.
Communicate pertinent data and information relative to the patient, situation, or setting in a timely manner.
Applies proper techniques with hand washing, care and cleaning of exam rooms and equipment and determination of when and how to use personal protective clothing/equipment. Maintains cleanliness of equipment, examination and patient rooms. Promote infection prevention through use of standard precautions, proper procedure in dressing changes, wound care, hand hygiene and cleanliness of the patient rooms/department
Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADL'S), accurate measurement and recording of weight, height, vital signs and report any changes to assigned nurse. Obtains vital signs, medication list, allergies, and patient questionnaires, screenings and history information accurately. Applies appropriate technique while performing EKG, and vital signs. Performs other related nursing tasks and duties under the supervision of a preceptor at all times.
