Position Overview:
The Teacher's Aide is part of an interdisciplinary team that is expected to provide the highest caliber of instruction in the classroom. The Teacher's Aide is supervised by the School Principal.
Responsibilities Include:
Lead Aide in providing support to teaching staff in applying positive behavior management principles within a designed, individualized behavior program for students.
Provides individual assistance in implementing the academic program designed by the Teacher within the Teacher's classroom.
Under supervision from principal, leads school in PBIS model.
Implements PBIS model in classrooms and throughout the school day.
Applies behavior management strategies within team designed behavior management program.
Role model pro-social, mediation, and self-management skills.
Develop trusting, positive relationships among students and staff.
Identifies student's immediate needs, reports same to Teacher and provides follow through as defined by the Teacher/Team.

POSITION SUMMARY:
We are hiring a Life Skills Instructional Assistant to work directly with students in the school and community environments. This position is based in the school building, with community-based instruction occurring throughout the school week. The Life Skills Instructional Assistant is a dynamic position with daily responsibilities that range from educational aide in the classroom to job coach in the community. Multicraft Industrial Maintenance Part time Laboratory Instructional Assistant

Instructional Assistant (PT LIA). The Multicraft Lab is a space that primarily supports Fluid Power and Mechanical Systems courses. Students build skills on industry trainers and tools during scheduled class labs and limited open lab hours.
Reporting to the Coordinator of Multi craft Industrial Maintenance, the LIA will be responsible for, but not limited to:
Keep the lab clean, organized, and safe. Put tools back in the right place, label bins and shelves, reset stations, and lock up at close.
Assist during scheduled labs, including setup, coaching students on tasks, and teardown.
Staff weekly open lab hours during the semester, support students one on one, track attendance, and enforce safety rules.
Prepare equipment, trainers, tools, and materials before classes and demonstrations.
Assist in teaching students how to construct, test, and troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic circuits on trainers, read schematics, and properly document results.
Assist in teaching students how to construct build and test rotational drives and complete basic mechanical tasks, including belt, chain and gear drives, laser and manual shaft alignment, fasteners and torque, bearings, seals, and basic measurement with calipers, micrometers, and scales.
Monitor equipment condition, perform first-line maintenance like cleaning and simple checks, and report repair needs and keep the lab equipment organized.
Maintain inventory, restock consumables, and help with parts and materials ordering.
Provide tours of the lab and talk with visitors about programs that use the space.
Attend occasional campus activities and promotional events on behalf of programs that use the Mechanical Systems Lab.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Availability for flexible weekday hours. Some daytime and some evening hours are required.
Strong safety awareness and the ability to apply and uphold safety rules.
Hands-on skill with common hand and power tools and comfort in a busy lab environment.
Ability to coach students clearly and patiently during Fluid Power and Mechanical Systems activities.
Ability to learn course content quickly and assist the instructor in delivering competent instruction during Fluid Power and Mechanical Systems courses.
Basic computer skills, including Windows, file management, email, and office software.
Ability to read technical instructions, schematics, and simple mechanical drawings.
Works well independently and on a team, with clear communication and solid organization.
Able to stand for extended periods and move equipment as needed, up to 40 pounds.
Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, Automation or a related field, or equivalent industry experience. Highly qualified current students may also be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Festo or similar hydraulic and pneumatic trainers, and familiarity with fluid power safety, gauges, and instrumentation.
Experience assisting in or tutoring Fluid Power Systems, Fluid Power Control Systems, Mechanical Systems, or related courses.
Familiarity with mechanical tools and methods, dial indicators, dial calipers, vernier micrometers, laser and manual shaft alignment, torque procedures, and bearing installation.

The Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities (Cuyahoga DD) is seeking several full-time Support Administrators to facilitate the development of person-centered plans for individuals that promote self-determination. Develop, authorize and revise a personal budget based upon needs and outcomes identified in the plan. Assist individuals and their families to explore and obtain services and supports. Implement an ongoing system of review. The nature of work will include, but is not limited to, the following:
Act as the primary point of coordination for the person-centered planning team. Utilize an assess/plan/review/revise process to help teams plan for each individual assigned.
Assist individuals and teams to identify issues, areas of potential risk, and outcomes that are important to and for the individual. Complete and/or coordinate thorough assessments to determine the need for services and supports. Revise assessments as needs change and annually.
Facilitate the development of a person-centered plan, including the determination and direction of needed supports. Revise plan as needed based on individual or team concerns, progress toward meeting outcomes, plan review, MUI prevention plans, or other issues that impact the need for services as described in the plan.
Identify funding sources for supports identified in the Individualized Service Plan (ISP) by utilizing a hierarchy of funding options applicable to each person. Plan with teams to access services that are cost efficient and effective to meet the needs described in the ISP.
Establish and approve budgets for services based upon the individual's assessed needs and preferred ways of meeting those needs. Manage the fiscal processes related to service authorizations, including use of local and statewide projection tools. Manage processes related to prior authorization as necessary and respond to requests for revisions of authorizations as needed.
Establish and maintain contact with service providers and natural supports as necessary to ensure that services are effectively coordinated by appropriate providers.
Promote community presence and participation. Provide referral and linkage to community resources to help individuals meet their needs and to engage with their communities.
Implement an ongoing system of monitoring continuous plan review to ensure that supports are delivered according to each individual plan, that progress is being made toward desired outcomes and that individuals are satisfied with services. Take action to remedy any immediate concerns regarding health and welfare.
Assist individuals in choosing providers as needed.
Assist with enrollment onto Medicaid waivers as appropriate. Complete all related paperwork accurately and in a timely manner to ensure maintenance of funding for supports, including development and recommendation of plans for approval to DODD when services included in plans are funded through the DODD Medicaid Waivers.
Establish an individual's eligibility for services of County Board of DD.
VARIOUS ASSIGNMENT TYPES: In addition to having Support Administrators working with on-going cases, we may also have openings in one or more of our specialty assignments areas such as Bilingual, Eligibility, Housing & Assessment, Floater, Information & Referral, Employment & Planning, and Youth & Transition. UNUSUAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Employee will be required to drive extensively both within and beyond Cuyahoga County in order to perform the duties of a Support Administrator. Therefore, access to reliable transportation (personal vehicle) is a necessity and essential function of this position. Planning meetings will be held in individual/family homes, throughout the community and during the evenings and weekends.
START DATE: The Cuyahoga DD hires Support Administrators in groups, or what we refer to as “waves." The next date for onboarding for this position is Monday, January 26, 2026. Qualifications
