Responsibilities Performs the primary function of a surgical scrub technician in scrubbing, draping, gowning, and maintaining a sterile field for patients undergoing surgery. Experience: One (1) year of experience in school setting, preferred MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Serve as a resource to principals and teachers in the implementation of programs and services for at-risk students in CTE classrooms. * Implement instructional strategies and materials for at-risk CTE students. * Assist individuals or small group of students in reinforcement and completion of assignments. * Maintain a classroom environment that exemplifies high expectations, quality and student success. * Assist in the collecting and organizing of reports required by the Career Technical Education for the CTE students in the assigned classes. * Work cooperatively with CTE teachers, campus administrators, counselors, and CTE administration to provide high-quality instructional support for CTE students. * Coordinate instructional activities with classroom teacher to assist in student's preparation of industry-based state licenses and certificates and CTE dual enrollment courses. * Assist in making parent contacts as appropriate and within the confines of academic issues of the student. * Direct social/emotional issues to appropriate pupil services personnel. * Direct student in need of further assistance to the appropriate pupil services personnel (counselor, social worker, administrator, psychologist, etc.). * Participate in appropriate professional development activities scheduled by the Career Technical Education Program. * Maintain the same high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students as is expected of fully licensed teacher. * Assist in clerical duties in relation to correspondence regarding the students in the Career Technical Education Program. * Follow McAllen ISD customer service standards. * Perform other duties assigned by immediate supervisor (primary evaluator).
