The veterinarians and staff at our clinic are ready to provide your pet with cutting-edge veterinary medical care. From wellness exams and vaccines to advanced diagnostics and complex surgical procedures, your dog, cat, or ferret will receive high-quality care at our hospital.
Position Purpose

Heartland Veterinary Partners' Externship Program works to provide 1st-4th year veterinary students with hands-on experience and mentorship to help have them 'practice ready' by their first day in practice.
Externships are typically 2 weeks long and Heartland will cover the cost of lodging if needed.
Length of externship is flexible & we can support your preceptorship documentation as well.
Requirements/Qualifications
Eligibility
Must be currently enrolled in an AVMA Accredited Veterinary School
Must be able to provide student PLIT

As a walk-in clinic open during normal business hours, we cater to cases ranging from routine to urgent and emergent, with appointments available for surgeries or drop-offs from Monday to Thursday. Our team is committed to providing exceptional care and making a difference in the lives of our furry (and non-furry) patients.
