Prefer knowledge of various sports

The Oberlin College Department of Athletics and Physical Education invites applications for the position of Assistant Women's Soccer Coach. This is a full-time, 12-month Administrative and Professional Staff position, reporting to the Head Women's Soccer Coach and working with the Associate Vice President for Athletics Advancement and Delta Lodge Director of Athletics & Physical Education.
Responsibilities
This position will report directly to the Head Women's Soccer Coach and be responsible for assisting the Head Coach in all aspects of the program - coaching, recruiting, and administration. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Helping student-athletes develop athletically, academically, and personally
* Coaching and coordinating practices during the traditional and non-traditional seasons
* Match preparation, match management, and video analysis
* Recruiting and retention of student-athletes
* Social media outreach
* Travel planning
* Other duties as assigned.
Essential Job Functions Marginal Job Functions Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree
* Preference will be given to candidates with successful coaching, playing, and recruiting experience at the college level
* Applicants should be open to working hours that include a combination of days, nights, weekends and travel
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Self-motivated and able to work independently
* Ability to interact positively with student-athletes, parents, colleagues, alumni, and the public
* Comply with all College, NCAC, and NCAA rules and regulations.
