How To Become a Student Dean

If you're interested in becoming a student dean, one of the first things to consider is how much education you need. We've determined that 31.3% of student deans have a bachelor's degree. In terms of higher education levels, we found that 49.2% of student deans have master's degrees. Even though most student deans have a college degree, it's possible to become one with only a high school degree or GED.

When we researched the most common majors for a student dean, we found that they most commonly earn master's degree degrees or bachelor's degree degrees. Student deans make the most in California with an average salary of $112,414. Whereas in Maine and New Jersey, they would average $109,532 and $101,003, respectively. While student deans would only make an average of $98,585 in North Dakota, you would still make more there than in the rest of the country.
