TDF is dedicated to bringing the power of the performing arts to everyone. As one of the only arts service organizations whose membership is the audience, our mission is to remove the financial, physical and invisible barriers to the performing arts. Our vision will be complete when every New Yorker and visitor to NYC feels ownership of and belonging in the live performing arts.
With an annual operating budget of $17 million, TDF fulfills its mission through two key areas of work:
1. TDF's mission-driven ticketing programs provide broad access to audiences for whom price is a barrier to entry. Through the iconic TKTS Booths in Times Square and Lincoln Center, and through TDF's membership programs, the organization serves more than 1 million audience members per year.
2. TDF's theatregoing programs remove financial, physical and invisible barriers to attendance for the communities who need it most. These programs serve close to 50,000 audience members annually, particularly those impacted by hearing loss and deafness, vision loss and blindness, mobility loss, or by intellectual and developmental disabilities. Further, TDF serves 11,000 high school students every year and more than 150 community organizations, including veterans, seniors and other underserved communities. Our methodology includes both access to discounted/free tickets, and the curation of an environment at the theatre where audiences feel comfortable and safe, and can experience shows on their own terms.
About the Position
**The Graphic Designer and Video Editor** is a key member of the marketing team at TDF and reports to the VP of Marketing and Communications. The position requires creativity, vision, and experience in print and multi-media graphic and video creation, development, and editing.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Creating graphics and design layouts for print and electronic materials, including email blasts, brochures, flyers, website graphics, and more according to brand guidelines
* Managing all aspects of video production, from pre- to post-production
* Maintaining brand consistency throughout all marketing projects and materials
* Presenting ideas, concepts and design solutions to various stakeholders
* Working as an active part of the Marketing team, collaborating on all team initiatives, and providing support for events and special projects
TDF is a hybrid-onsite organization, and staff are encouraged to be in-office 2-3 days a week. This role is a hybrid-onsite position with flexibility for agreed upon remote work. The schedule is typically 35 hrs/week. Some evenings and weekends may be required.
About you:
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in graphic design and videography
* Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
* Strong video editing skills using tools like Final Cut Pro X and Adobe Premiere, as well as handheld editing tools like CapCut.
* Basic skills in handling lighting, sound, and recording equipment.
* Knowledge of some HTML
* Familiarity with social media platforms and management tools - Facebook, X (Twitter), Instagram, Tik Tok, Linked In, You Tube, and Hootsuite
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
* Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and meet project deadlines.
* Passion for the performing arts
Potential candidates should have a strong portfolio showcasing graphic design and video editing skills.
**Compensation and Benefits**
This is a full-time permanent role, and the salary range is $75,000-80,000 per year. In addition, TDF offers excellent benefits including:

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Inputting sound to enhance footage, which may include selecting music and writing voice-overs.
Inputting graphics to enhance footage.
Digitally splicing film and video and synchronizing them into one rough cut file.
Improving and correcting lighting, coloring, and faulty footage

Ensure consistency in design elements, branding, and messaging across all content pieces.

Incorporate feedback and revisions promptly to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
Requirements:
Proven experience in graphic design and video editing/creation with a strong portfolio showcasing relevant work samples (short videos, social media content, brand templates).
Proficiency in graphic design & video editing software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, Figma and Canva (or preferred advanced apps).
Excellent understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and composition.
Ability to translate concepts and ideas into visually compelling content that resonates with our target audience.
