We are now looking for a Placement Student - IT Security Analyst to join #TeamGreen in the UK. The role can be based from our Manchester-HQ, or remotely across the UK.

The Student Security Analyst works as part of the IT and Security team, running and managing technical and non-technical projects. They will assist across Security Strategy, Governance, Risk, Compliance and IT security to help mature IT security across the organisation.
What you will be doing;
Specifying IT & Security ProjectsLearn about Security and privacy within the content of a cloud native organisation Understand the requirements placed upon us by customer or legislation With input from the CISO and wider Security team, determine process and project improvements that could increase security maturity.
Running IT & Security ProjectsRun Security proof of concept projects and workflows with technical and non-technical teams across MatillionAssist with IT issues and projects across a cloud native organisation Make decisions, with CISO and InfoSec guidance on projects to ensure that the desired outcomes are reached Report progress and blockers at regular stand-ups
Reporting IT & Security OutcomesReport progress to the CISO or InfoSec Team during projects Prepare presentations for each project detailing outcomes, lessons learned and recommendations Understand how Risk and Compliance drive security programmes
Technical / Function Skills - EssentialAbility to understand and learn about concepts related to Governance, Risk and ComplianceWilling to learn about Security concepts such as NIST/CIS20/NCSC10/MITREBasic understanding of privacy regulation; DPA2-18/GDPRBasic understanding of Security technologies Basic understanding of RiskBasic understanding of modern Cloud offerings and the advantages of the CloudWilling to take initiative and be hands-on Passion for learning
