Program Description: The Humanities Collaborative grant is a partnership between El Paso Community College (EPCC) and the University of Texas at El Paso to work together to strengthen existing ties between the two institutions, to engage in collaborative mentoring of students and faculty across the institutions in humanities research and teaching, and to raise the profile of the humanities in our border region through innovative, student and faculty driven humanities programming. An important outcome of the grant will be an increased flow of humanities students through both institutions. Perform developmental and rotational assignments at community-based internship locations by observing the job functions of assigned workplace contact. Perform and assist workplace contact with job duties, appropriate to the intern's background (education and experience). Assist in coordinating event planning, such as exhibits and concerts.
