The Youth Activities Intern will work with the Director of Youth Activities, the Youth Activities Manager, & Youth Activities Counselor Team, supporting various tasks related to youth programming at the Club. This includes, but is not limited to, assisting with event set-up, implementation, and clean-up; supporting weekly summer camp and swim team operations; and providing childcare services in our state-of-the-art facility "The Treehouse." Position Summary This internship consists of a full immersion in athletic training services for Carolina Ascent FC. This will include training set up and break down, pre- and post-training treatments, rehab programming and facilitation, training coverage, match day stretcher crew, and documentation. The intern will not travel with the team but is expected to be present at most, if not all, home matches. The student will work closely with professional athletes, carrying out daily athletic training services under the guidance of the Athletic Training staff. The student is expected to display their current athletic training skills while seeking opportunities to learn new skills. Clinical questions and discussions are encouraged. Professionalism and maturity are always expected while around staff and athletes. The internship will serve toward clinical credit for a CAATE accredited program. Hours The Internship schedule will follow the team schedule which is subject to change at any time. The Intern will be asked to work flexible hours, including weekends and late nights.
