What you bring

Able to commit to a 12-month internship - full-time (FT) during the summer and part-time (PT) during the academic school year.

Previous videography experience.
A detail-oriented approach to projects and initiatives.
Experience using and carefully handling video and photographic equipment.

Reports To: Summer School Principal
Work Schedule/FLSA Status: Part-time, Temporary, Non-exempt, Maximum of 30 hours/week during identified summer school dates
Salary Schedule: This is a non-negotiated position. Wages are administrated consistent with board policy.
**Seniors graduating this spring will be eligible for an hourly rate of $17.50 per hour as they are no longer considered current high school students.**
Position Purpose: The Student Summer Intern for the Omaha Public Schools (OPS) will provide teaching assistance to elementary age students - Kindergarten - 2nd Grade. This individual will work under the direction of the classroom teacher to provide one to one and small group tutoring and assistance in the classroom. The intern will carry out classroom and instructional duties to support student learning and growth.
Essential Performance Responsibilities:
Provides teaching assistance to other students under the direction of the classroom teacher
Works one to one or in small groups to provide tutoring assistance and reinforce learning objectives
Assists students with educational technology to include software
Models appropriate behaviors for students
Develops and maintains a professional rapport with classroom teacher and other staff

Terms of Employment
This position is treated as a full-time non-exempt classified position. We currently see 60% large animal and 40% small animal in the clinic. What you do
* Assist in the production of creative, high-quality video and audio materials for Ameritas. This includes live action videos, animations and occasional photography.
* Collaborate with video, creative, and marketing team members on the vision and approach to projects, including ideation, concepting, and storyboarding.
* Record projects using a wide variety of camera, audio, lighting, and studio equipment.
* Edit captured video materials and create animation to produce finished content.
* Archive and audit video assets for organization and efficiency.
What you bring
* Enrolled in a college program, at least part-time, for the entire course of the internship, preferably studying broadcast media, digital media, video production, advertising/public relations, and/or marketing.
* Able to commit to a 12-month internship - full-time (FT) during the summer and part-time (PT) during the academic school year.
* PT includes 10-20 hours a week.
* FT includes 30-40 hours a week.
* Previous videography experience.
* A detail-oriented approach to projects and initiatives.
* Experience using and carefully handling video and photographic equipment.
* Experience using video and animation software, such as the Adobe Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Audition) or similar families of software.
* An ability to learn and use technology, including video recording equipment and software.
* Cooperation and collaboration with team members and project managers. This includes receiving feedback and making negotiations or compromises when appropriate.
* Maintaining confidentiality when necessary - safely keeping information about our customers, field partners, and associates.

+ Assist in preparing, conducting, and evaluating comprehensive cutover, functional and test procedures on the protection and supervisory control system and associated devices. Interpret the results of test procedures.
+ Troubleshoot, analyze and determine the cause of anomalies within protection and supervisory control schemes. Initiate corrective action as necessary.
+ Perform all assigned construction, operation, testing and maintenance tasks in accordance with the District s Safety Manual, the Hold Order System, and the Personal Protective Grounding Manual, standards and practices.
