For more information, visit us online at gcsu.edu. Job Summary The New Student Programs Intern will assist the office in the planning and logistics of campus visitation events. Duties will include assisting with answering phone calls and emails, completing assignments on event days, creating digital content, creating organizational systems such as checklists and spreadsheets, and information management within Slate, the office's Customer Relationship Management Software. The intern will also be responsible for assisting with the review of event surveys and creating survey reports. Position calls for creative input and vision. Responsibilities Answering Phone and Email - 10 Will answer the New Student Programs phone line and email and assist guests as needed. Event Preparation - 25 Will ensure event prep work is completed by admissions student workers and Council of Student Ambassadors. Organization - 25 Will ensure the workroom is clean, tidy, and organized. Event Management - 25 Will review registrations in Slate for errors and correct. Will be knowledgeable in Slate and other programs. Responsibilities Mailroom Duties (75%) - Picks up, sorts, processes and routes incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and freight for campus delivery. Operates postage meter, including adding postage, processing large quantities of envelopes for departments, and coordinating repairs with vendor. Prepares outgoing UPS, FedEX, or other freight for pickup. Responds to complaints and inquiries regarding lost mail; completes related forms; makes referrals for investigation.
