(NASDAQ: NBIX) is offering the opportunity to gain hands-on laboratory experience in analytical chemistry and small molecule purification within a leading biotechnology company. Our intern program offers exposure to analytical workflows, chromatography technologies, and discovery research processes. The Analytical Purification team has a strong reputation in the industry for high-throughput purification, advanced chromatographic method development, and robust analytical support for early drug discovery. _ Your Contributions (include, but are not limited to): Supporting a range of activities, including small molecule purification, sample analysis, and lab operations Assisting with daily HPLC and SFC runs for small molecule analysis and purification Learning to execute basic achiral and chiral chromatographic methods under supervision Preparing samples and helping maintain high-throughput operations Performing routine instrument readiness checks and basic laboratory maintenance Recording, organizing, and summarizing experimental data Helping evaluate chromatograms and contributing to preliminary data interpretation Supporting lab setup for ongoing purification campaigns and analytical procedures Collaborating with a mentor team of cross-functional scientists as well as the other summer interns Completing a special project and presenting findings and recommendations to senior management upon completion Requirements: Pursuing an undergraduate degree with an interest in biotechnology and/or analytical chemistry Prior experience in a pharmaceutical or biotech lab is an asset but not required Familiarity with concepts in chemistry, analytical methods, or chromatography is desirable Good verbal and written communication skills Ability to think creatively and work collaboratively in a team environment Willingness to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced setting Enthusiasm for learning laboratory techniques and contributing to drug discovery research Interest in attending program events including social activities, career workshops, and scientific seminars Ability to commit to a 10-week, full-time summer program Neurocrine Biosciences is an EEO/Disability/Vets employer.
