The Recovery Support Intern will play a crucial role in supporting student wellness by promoting recovery resources and facilitating all-recovery meetings on campus. This internship provides students with an opportunity to gain valuable experience in peer support, event coordination, and health promotion. The intern will be responsible for organizing and hosting a weekly all-recovery meeting, as well as promoting recovery resources and providing peer support to students engaged in recovery.
Responsibilities:
All-Recovery Meeting Coordination:
Prepare for and host a weekly all-recovery meeting that is inclusive of all forms of recovery.
Ensure that the meeting space is welcoming and supportive of all attendees; clean up the space after each use.
Marketing and Outreach:
Create and distribute marketing materials (flyers, social media posts, etc.) to promote the all-recovery meeting and other recovery-related resources available on campus.
Collaborate with the Office of Health Promotion to raise awareness of recovery resources among the broader student body.
Peer Support:
Offer individualized peer support to students attending the recovery meetings.
Provide information and guidance on available campus resources and external support options.
Administrative Support:
Maintain accurate records of attendance and materials used during the meetings to assist with the semester-to-semester transition.
Communicate with the Office of Health Promotion regarding the needs of the group and the effectiveness of the meetings.
Training
Complete the Certified Peer Educators (CPE) Training, a 10-hour online certification program offered by NASPA (National Association of Student Personnel Administrators), before or during the first semester of employment. This certification will equip the intern with the skills necessary to effectively lead and support their peers in a recovery context.

Interest in health promotion, peer support, or recovery services and a lived experience in recovery
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate to and support peers
Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently while also collaborating with the Office of Health Promotion.

* Be enrolled or accepted for enrollment at an institution that has been awarded a National Science Foundation (NSF) grant under the SFS program and pursuing a specialized certification, associate's, bachelor's, or master's degree.

* Be willing to pursue studies with an emphasis in cybersecurity.

Our law students receive exceptional training and the opportunity to work with some of the most talented legal minds in civil legal services. Frequently Asked Questions
What are the dates of the Summer 2026 internship? Are those dates flexible?
The internship is a 10-week program from Monday, June 1, 2026, to Friday, August 7, 2026.
Students are generally allowed reasonable flexibility for family or other obligations, so long as they complete the ten-week program and are compliant with the terms of any work study or other external funding they receive. There is a week of mandatory orientation the week of June 1-5, 2026.
Is the internship funded?
Generally the internship is unpaid. However, 3 fellowship stipends are available and awarded on a rolling basis. Please see below for more information. We are also happy to support any requirements for work study or other external funding sources, like Equal Justice America.
What are the work hours? What are the in-person requirements?
CLS operates Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Staff are expected to work in-person 2 days per week; however, students are encouraged to be in person more frequently as needed and to get the most out of their summer.
Do I get to choose which unit I work with? Can I work across multiple units?
Unit placements are assigned when we have filled our full class of interns - usually in April. When students accept their internship, they rank their top 3 units. With rare exceptions, we are able to place students in one of their top 3 choices but cannot guarantee placement in any unit.
Students are encouraged to staff CLS clinics for other units and can shadow another unit if they express an interest, but are generally assigned to one unit for the entirety of their summer work.
What if I want to work in the Housing Unit?
Our housing unit prioritizes 2L students, especially from Philadelphia-area law schools. We encourage housing-focused students to apply for their 2L summer!

Additional Fellowship Application
The Amber Racine and Senator Roxanne Jones Fellowships are available on a competitive basis to 3 law students with financial need from underrepresented groups based on race, color, religious creed, ancestry, age, sex (including sex assigned at birth, gender identity or expression and sexual orientation), national origin, or disability. The recipient of each Fellowship receives a financial award of $5,000 and mentorship support to enable future leaders in public interest law to spend their summer interning at CLS.
Eligible law students should apply for the Fellowships when they submit their application for CLS's summer internship. Fellowship selection will take place on a rolling basis, so students are encouraged to apply early.

At VEG we find a way to say yes to helping future veterinary technicians grow into their potential. Our Veterinary Technician Student Externship Program offers a hands-on, immersive experience in emergency medicine alongside our credentialed emergency veterinary technicians.

WHAT YOU NEED
Currently enrolled in an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology or nursing program, or a program actively seeking accreditation; this program is only for students, not future veterinarians or veterinary assistants
Enrolled in a course that requires externship hours or skills
Able to start the program within six months of application
Current rabies vaccination or titer required
Ability to stand for prolonged hours, kneel, and work on the floor as well as ability to lift up to 25 kg on own and able to support up to 40 kg with assistance
Must be willing to work in a noisy environment with strong or unpleasant odors
Work well in a fast-paced environment with people from all backgrounds and different personality types

Position Overview: Under the supervision of the Clinical Director/Clinical Supervisor or other appointed individual, this temporary position will be responsible for fulfilling responsibilities according the Internship Syllabus.
Specific Responsibilities:
Student will work with the assigned manager to establish duties in adherence to the course syllabus.
Student will establish a work project within the calendar period as outlined in the syllabus.
The student will follow the policies and procedures of the internship site. In the case of illness, the student candidate knows the procedure for reporting absences and proceeds in compliance with the internship site.
Student follows the agreed attendance times to the site by the site supervisor. This includes being prompt for daily starting and ending times.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are the dates of the Summer 2026 internship? Are those dates flexible?
The internship is a 10-week program from Monday, June 1, 2026, to Friday, August 7, 2026.
Students are generally allowed reasonable flexibility for family or other obligations, so long as they complete the ten-week program and are compliant with the terms of any work study or other external funding they receive. There is a week of mandatory orientation the week of June 1-5, 2026.
Is the internship funded?
Generally the internship is unpaid. However, 3 fellowship stipends are available and awarded on a rolling basis. Please see below for more information. We are also happy to support any requirements for work study or other external funding sources, like Equal Justice America.
What are the work hours? What are the in-person requirements?
CLS operates Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Staff are expected to work in-person 2 days per week; however, students are encouraged to be in person more frequently as needed and to get the most out of their summer.
Do I get to choose which unit I work with? Can I work across multiple units?
Unit placements are assigned when we have filled our full class of interns - usually in April. When students accept their internship, they rank their top 3 units. With rare exceptions, we are able to place students in one of their top 3 choices but cannot guarantee placement in any unit.
Students are encouraged to staff CLS clinics for other units and can shadow another unit if they express an interest, but are generally assigned to one unit for the entirety of their summer work.
What if I want to work in the Housing Unit?
Our housing unit prioritizes 2L students, especially from Philadelphia-area law schools. We encourage housing-focused students to apply for their 2L summer!
What if I am not a law student? What if I am a law student and would like to intern during the fall or spring semester?

Additional Fellowship Application
The Amber Racine and Senator Roxanne Jones Fellowships are available on a competitive basis to 3 law students with financial need from underrepresented groups based on race, color, religious creed, ancestry, age, sex (including sex assigned at birth, gender identity or expression and sexual orientation), national origin, or disability. The recipient of each Fellowship receives a financial award of $5,000 and mentorship support to enable future leaders in public interest law to spend their summer interning at CLS.
Eligible law students should apply for the Fellowships when they submit their application for CLS's summer internship. Fellowship selection will take place on a rolling basis, so students are encouraged to apply early.
