POSITION SUMMARY This internship consists of a full immersion in athletic training services for Seattle Reign FC. This will include pre- and post-training treatments, rehab programming and facilitation, training coverage, match day stretcher crew, and documentation. The intern will not travel with the team but is expected to be present at all home matches. The student will work closely with professional athletes, carrying out daily athletic training services under the guidance of the Medical Director, Head and Assistant Athletic Trainers. The student is expected to display their current athletic training skills while seeking opportunities to learn new skills. Clinical questions and discussions are encouraged. The intern may have the opportunity to observe the team physician when on site. Professionalism and maturity are always expected while around staff and athletes. The internship will serve toward clinical credit for a CAATE accredited program. Hours: The Internship schedule will follow the team schedule which is subject to change at any time. The Intern will be asked to work flexible hours, including weekends and late nights. The intern will have off when the team is off but may be asked to assist with non-travel rehabs and trainings. The student can expect to work an average 30-35 hours per week. Further details will be provided upon release of the schedule.
