Is prepared to conduct PPS meetings maintaining MDS assessments per Medicare schedule and maintains PPS board for monitoring of Medicare days and RUGs utilization in the absence of the Care Management Coordinator
Remains current with the American Association of Nursing Assessment Coordinators (AANAC) requirements.
Qualifications:
Registered Nurse, RN **
AANC certification a plus. RAC-CT
Knowledge of the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process, including the principles the Prospective Payment Process (PPS) strongly preferred.

As a PICU RN, you'll provide critical care to pediatric patients as part of a broader medical team. You will collaborate with physicians, specialists and the patients' families to ensure the best coordinated care for these special patients. PICU Travel Nurses provide care to children and adolescents with a wide range of conditions, ranging from common childhood diseases to life-threatening illnesses.
As a PICU Travel Nurse, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:
Monitor patients' vital signs and initiate corrective action when necessary.
Follow continuous cardiac and respiratory monitor readings, such as EKG tracings, O2 stats, CVP/arterial line waveforms, if applicable, and report any observed changes.
Change dressings, insert catheters, start IVs (both central venous and arterial).
Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, such as ventilators.
Assist physician during examination, treatment and procedures, which can include life-saving situations.
Assist with the insertion or discontinuation of CV catheters, arterial lines, external ventricular drains, Foleys, epidural catheters and endotracheal tubes.
PICU Travel Nurses should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean and stoop without difficulty. RNs should be able to easily liftpounds of equipment at times. PICU RNs may face hazards from exposure to chemicals and infectious diseases.

Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Medical Surgical RN to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with Cerner and will be responsible for providing excellent patient care in a fast-paced medical-surgical environment.
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients.
Manage patient assessments, care plans, and interventions.
Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Must have prior experience in a medical-surgical setting.
Cerner experience is required.
Current RN license valid in the state.

As a PCU Travel Nurse, you will care for patients who require close monitoring and frequent assessment, but aren't unstable enough to need ICU care. Progressive Care Unit RNs will utilize computer equipment to monitor cardiac and other vital information, detecting any changes and thereby enabling intervention of life-threatening or emergency situations. Close observation is necessary as many PCU patients receive a significant amount of complex medications, sometimes through an intravenous line that may need to be adjusted or titrated. The PCU RN is sometimes also called a step-down nurse, and the PCU is also known as cardiac stepdown, medical stepdown, neuro stepdown, surgical stepdown and ER holding.
As a PCU Travel Nurse, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:
Provide basic bedside care; stabilize critical cardiac patients.
Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, and interpret and record electronic displays.
Initiate corrective action whenever information from monitoring equipment shows adverse symptomatology.
PCU Travel Nurses should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean and stoop without difficulty. RNs should be able to easily lift 20 pounds. Moving or lifting of patients may require lifting of up to 50 pounds at times. Because of the fast-paced environment, Progressive Care Unit RNs must possess good skills for coping with stress and be able to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.
