The Telehealth Technician (LPN) enables timely, Veteran-centered access to specialty and primary care services via real-time video (CVT/VVC) and store-and-forward technologies at a VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic. Working within the Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) and under the supervision of an RN/provider, the LPN prepares Veterans for telehealth encounters, operates and maintains telehealth equipment and peripherals, conducts clinical tasks within LPN scope, supports troubleshooting and connectivity, and ensures accurate documentation and privacy in accordance with VA directives and clinical standards.
Coordinate and prepare Veterans for telehealth visits (clinic-to-clinic CVT, VA Video Connect, and other approved platforms); verify identity using two identifiers and obtain/verbalize consent per policy.
Room Veterans and complete pre-visit activities: vitals, pain, allergies, medication reconciliation, targeted histories, and standardized clinical reminders.
Set up and operate telehealth carts, cameras, microphones, and approved clinical peripherals (e.g., digital stethoscope, otoscope, derm camera, exam camera).
