About the Team

Providence has been serving the Pacific Northwest since 1856 when Mother Joseph and four other Sisters of Providence arrived in Vancouver, Washington Territory. Today, Providence is the largest health care provider in Washington located in communities large and small across the state. Facilitates the provision of timely and effective patient care under the supervision of licensed members of the healthcare team. Helps maintain a safe and clean environment in order to enhance department operations. Patient care is delivered consistent with the model and philosophy of relationship based care.

Required Skills

Required Experience

Enrollment in a BSN, or MSN program
Minimum completion of first semester of clinical training
Computer proficiency
Current Basic Life Support Certification

Position Details:Under direct supervision of a registered nurse, the Student Nurse participates in the nursing process in delivering care to patients and their families. The Student Nurse will provide a wide variety of clinical task/procedures for the patient as a member of the patient care team. Patients served include the infant through the elderly adult.

What You Need to Be Successful:

+ Currently enrolled and in good academic standing for junior or senior year of a BSN, or an Associate Degree Program.

+ Has successfully completed their Fundamentals course and one Clinical Rotation.

+ CNA License

+ Current AHA Health Care Provider (CPR) card.
