• Adult medical-surgical and telemetry patient population, including cardiac, neuro, pulmonary, renal, wounds, and urology,
• Nurse-to-patient ratios are typically 1:5, occasionally flexing to 1:6,
• Night shifts, 3x12 hours (18:45 - 07:15), with required weekend and holiday coverage,
• Frequent floating within scope between departments, units, and facilities as needed,
• Utilizes Epic for charting,
• Navy scrubs required,
Job Requirements
• Active MO or compact RN license, plus Kansas RN license must be in hand at time of consideration,
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU or telemetry experience, with at least one full year in specialty within the last 12 months and no employment gaps over 90 days,
• Certifications required: BLS and NIHSS,
• Proficient in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, telemetry, IV insulin protocols, central and peripheral line management, heparin protocols, blood product administration, and wound vac use,
• Experience with chest tubes, non-invasive airway management, emergency response, and PCA medication protocols,
• Two professional references needed: at least one from a supervisor within the past year, and the second at minimum from a charge RN,
• Locals not accepted; must live more than 50 miles from facility,
• Pending licenses will not be considered,
Additional Information
• Responsible for caring for patients with complex medical diagnoses, including general cardiac, neuro, renal, pulmonary, wounds, and urology conditions,
• May be assigned as Charge RN as needed,
• RTO requests are limited to one per contract, with a maximum of 7 days,
• Regular floating is expected and required,
• Must complete required modules prior to start and annually as directed,

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for assisting patients in collaboration with the provider and other members of the health care team with all clinical services available at the clinic. Coordinate and manage care of patients seen by provider including but not limited to following up and tracking testing, referrals.
Stays informed of insurance requirements and guidelines for patient care. Performs prior authorizations and acts as patient advocate.
Regularly monitors patients as appropriate to promote wellness and health maintenance including preventative and chronic care.
Participates in the development of the plan of care with other team members and safely implements that plan.
Promotes wellness by providing patient education materials and communicating provider advice/instructions.
Schedules, coordinates and communicates referrals to specialist and services ordered by the provider.
