This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule
Night shifts from 18:45 to 07:15. The schedule includes 3 or 4 twelve-hour shifts with weekends every other week and holidays as needed.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing quality patient care in an Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU). The ideal candidate will demonstrate clinical expertise in managing patients with respiratory issues and other critical conditions.
Responsibilities
• Monitor and manage care for patients with various diagnoses including pulmonary conditions, renal failure, and stroke overflow.
• Administer medications and treatments as per physician's orders.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Provide support for patients requiring respiratory therapies and assist with care for ventilated patients.
• Implement and manage care protocols including the use of high-flow modalities and CPAP/BIPAP as needed.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required.
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS are mandatory.
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred.
• Ability to float to other units as needed, including rehab.
