Summary:
The CVOR registered nurse is responsible for providing direct and indirect nursing care to assigned patients, as well as assisting in monitoring and supporting the patient throughout the surgical procedure. They collaborate closely with the entire surgical team to ensure the optimization of patient outcomes by confirming all necessary surgical supplies and equipment are sterile and functional, assisting with safe patient positioning and draping, and coordinating immediate post-surgical continued patient care.
Essential Work Functions:
Maintain proficiency in Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic surgical procedures, including open and closed heart surgeries
Prepare the Cardiovascular operating room for the patient and surgical procedure
Assemble equipment, supplies, medications, and implants, ensuring equipment functions and supplies are available
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and the surgical team to deliver coordinated care
Utilize data from surgical preference cards for the surgical procedure and surgeon
Position patients safely using approved devices to prevent injury and enable optimal surgical exposure
Actively participate in Universal Protocol and timeout to confirm patient identity, procedure, and surgical site
Handle and document specimens accurately to ensure diagnostic integrity
Provide post-surgical care coordination, including patient handoff to the recovery team
Assess, plan, and evaluate the nursing care of the patient before, during, and after a surgical procedure until patient handoff to the next phase of care
Ensure that sterile procedures are followed throughout the course of surgery
Respond effectively to emergencies, such as cardiac arrest, during surgery
Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the position
Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards

MDS Coordinator Summary Description:
The MDS Coordinator under the direction of the Administrator or Director of Nursing, is responsible for coordinating the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process including completion of an accurate Minimum Data Set (MDS) and development of the Interdisciplinary Plan of Care. Schedules patients/residents for appropriate OBRA, Medicare PPS and/or Medicaid required assessments.
Communicates schedule to all other departments and families, as required.
Monitors clinical systems for changes in patient/resident condition.
Responds to patient/resident change in condition by coordinating patient/resident re-assessment and re-evaluation plan of care.
Strategically sets assessment reference date (ARD), in conjunction with the interdisciplinary team, to capture needs, care and services delivered to most accurately reflect the status of the patient/resident.
Accurately completes portions of MDS and CAAs as assigned, in accordance. with policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Assures compliance with federal, state, Medicare and Medicaid regulations, and facility policies and procedures as related to completion of an accurate electronic submission in a timely manner and coordination of the RAI process.

Summary:
The CVOR registered nurse is responsible for providing direct and indirect nursing care to assigned patients, as well as assisting in monitoring and supporting the patient throughout the surgical procedure. They collaborate closely with the entire surgical team to ensure the optimization of patient outcomes by confirming all necessary surgical supplies and equipment are sterile and functional, assisting with safe patient positioning and draping, and coordinating immediate post-surgical continued patient care.
Essential Work Functions:
Maintain proficiency in Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic surgical procedures, including open and closed heart surgeries
Prepare the Cardiovascular operating room for the patient and surgical procedure
Assemble equipment, supplies, medications, and implants, ensuring equipment functions and supplies are available
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and the surgical team to deliver coordinated care
Utilize data from surgical preference cards for the surgical procedure and surgeon
Position patients safely using approved devices to prevent injury and enable optimal surgical exposure
Actively participate in Universal Protocol and timeout to confirm patient identity, procedure, and surgical site
Handle and document specimens accurately to ensure diagnostic integrity
Provide post-surgical care coordination, including patient handoff to the recovery team
Assess, plan, and evaluate the nursing care of the patient before, during, and after a surgical procedure until patient handoff to the next phase of care
Ensure that sterile procedures are followed throughout the course of surgery
Respond effectively to emergencies, such as cardiac arrest, during surgery
Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the position
Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards

What You'll Do
Provide direct resident care under the supervision of the RN or DON
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Monitor resident health, document changes, and report concerns promptly
Support CNAs and collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams
Maintain accurate documentation in electronic medical records (EMR)
Ensure compliance with facility policies, procedures, and state regulations

What You Bring
Active Florida LPN license in good standing
Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred
Strong clinical skills, reliability, and a team-focused attitude
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to work assigned shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed

Registered Nurse - RN - Home Care
Full Time High Tech Home Health RN
Your responsibilities:
* Evaluate patient and home health environment to determine required services and involve the patient and patient's family in developing the plan of care
* Develop the POC based on findings from evaluation visit
* Serve as the patient's advocate and maintain ongoing communication with physician, referral sources, caregivers and facility management to facilitate coordination of care
* Responsible for timely completion and synchronization of OASIS visits within the patient home via device (EMR)
* Provide direct supervision of nursing clinical care team members (LPN's/LVN's & HHA's)
Qualifications
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum of one year experience in Medicare HH. Home Health and OASIS experience required. * Licensed as an RN in the state of practice * Travel is required; must have a reliable car w/current insurance coverage and a current driver's license * Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) devices preferred, but not required

Requirements:
1 year of acute care RN experience (open to LTAC RN experience)
Florida RN license or appropriate compact licensure (active FL RN license required within 90 days of hire if holding a compact license)
Current BLS certification
